To begin, we will divide 2 concepts:
- A diluent is a liquid that is used to make the paint concentration more convenient and helps to create a thin even coat of paint on the surface being trimmed.
- Solvent - a chemical composition that weakens the bonds inside the paintwork, making the finish coating less durable.
It is very important that the purchased composition is designed to work with the type of paint for which it is going to be used. In the event of an error, a chemical reaction may occur which, at best, will render the paint unsuitable for further use.

It is worth noting that there are universal solvents on sale, for example, grade 646, which are suitable for working with almost any type of paintwork. A distinctive feature of such compounds is a very specific smell, since they are all toxic. When working with them, it is necessary to observe individual protection measures and safety measures for carrying out the work.
The specifics of working with nitrosotavami
Coatings based on cellulose nitrate are mainly used for painting glossy or metallic surfaces. To work with such compositions use solvents No. 645 -647, 649 and 650. Solvents are used for processing (degreasing) surfaces before painting, stripping paint of the working tool, and if necessary, for thinning compositions.

To remove the nitrosotava from the tool, you can use everything that you think will help you. The easiest and cheapest way to clean the brush is with a rag dipped in type 646 solvents. But not all can be added to paint:
- If you add any oily composition to the nitra, the paint will either dry for a very long time or not dry at all. All this applies to drying oil, diesel fuel, etc.
- Do not use solvent No. 651 with nitro-paint; it is intended for use only with oily formulations.
- Do not experiment with water. It is also not worth adding it to the nitra, the paint simply does not mix with water, different density.

In order not to spoil the paint, carefully read the instructions on the can before use. All manufacturers indicate which type of solvent is suitable for this material.
