How to hide electric wires in an apartment

Proper wiring and laying of wires is very important in the process of overhaul. Hidden wiring solves many problems: a large number of communications in a prominent place and security for all family members.

How to make hidden wiring

Often, inexperienced owners place hidden wiring in the apartment diagonally on the wall. But this is categorically wrong, the only possible placement option is horizontal or vertical. This eliminates the situation of electric shock.

Wires should be at least 15 cm from the ceiling. Before they are laid, marking is carried out, which is carried out in two ways: construction and laser. After marking, it is necessary to work with a special tool - a chamfer, grinder or puncher.

The wires to the wall are fixed on the dowel-clamps, which are very tight and do not undergo any impact. After placing all the wires in the channels, they are sealed with a primer and a stucco mixture.

Masking wiring

If the repair is done, and some wires remain on the surface and interfere, then two methods are used to mask them: external and internal. For the second method, it is necessary in places where the wires hang to make neat cuts in the wallpaper. They are lifted and neatly fixed so that it is possible to work with the wall, in which small recesses are made. Wires are laid in channels, covered with a thin layer of plaster, after drying, the wallpaper is glued back. Also, the wires in the wall can be fixed with plasticine, mastic or other suitable material.

If the internal masking is not suitable due to fear of spoiling the appearance of the wall, then it is worth using other methods. The most obvious is the laying of the cable channel, which can fit into any interior.

Floor wiring

Interfering wires can also be hidden on the floor. For this, the following options are offered:

• Using special skirting boards with internal cable channels. Skirting boards can be remodeled without repair, because they are convenient and safe to mount;
• When overhauling or changing the flooring, the wires can be hidden in concrete pouring. To do this, a channel is drilled around the edges with a puncher, into which the wires are laid. Communications should be in the corrugation. After the floor is poured with cement;
• All wiring can be packaged in corrugated tubes and laid before leveling the floor. The remaining communications during cosmetic repairs can be hidden in the baseboard.

Ceiling wiring

Ceiling wiring is easy to hide in decorative gypsum board boxes, under a stretch ceiling or behind ceiling moldings.
