Such a function is present in "smart homes"; it is convenient if it works in houses, apartments built according to the usual standard designs. It is implemented in different ways. You can, for example, use the LX-01 sensor, which is supplied in large quantities from China. It works according to the principle: movement is detected in the room - the light is turned on in it; movement stops - the sensor breaks the circuit after a certain period of time, turning off the lighting.
The sensor has three regulators located on the body. One can adjust the sensitivity: the maximum responds to the slightest movement, the minimum - to a very noticeable one. The second regulator sets the time at which the circuit does not break after the last detected movement. The third regulator sets the level of illumination at which the sensor is switched on.
The indicated sensor is suitable for those rooms in which it is necessary to turn on / off the lighting when people appear / exit (an example is a hallway). For others, where it is possible for a person to be at rest (bathroom, living room), other devices are needed that respond, for example, to heat or something else.
Having finished with the selection and acquisition of sensors, we proceed to the choice of the optimal place for their installation. A loose wall is best suited for this - any of its top corners. This is explained by the fact that the sensor “sees” the movement in a sector with an angle of 120 °. With this arrangement, there will be no "dead" zones for him.
How to connect the motion sensor to the mains is indicated in the instructions that accompany it. It must be observed, otherwise the device fails. Usually the red contact of the sensor is connected to the wire going from the switch to the lamp; brown to another. The blue contact should be connected to a wire suitable for the lighting fixture not on the lamp side.
When the motion sensors are installed on all the lighting lamps, the task of turning it off after everyone leaves the apartment is solved.
