In the dark, bulbs installed in various lighting fixtures are lit in all houses. One of such devices is a chandelier, which is found in all rooms except the bathroom and toilet. When this device is correctly selected and installed, it harmoniously fits into the interior of the room in which it is located. Therefore, it is worth taking the choice of a chandelier very seriously so as not to get unnecessary expenses and a spoiled mood.

Chandelier selection: what to look for

Choosing a chandelier, you need to build on the layout of the apartment, which is available at the time of future installation. If the room does not have a rectangular shape, then you may need an additional chandelier that will illuminate a dark area of ​​space. But such options are extremely rare, and indeed, mostly in apartments with a long and winding corridor.

Next, you need to determine the size of the lighting device. Quite often, in large rooms, appropriate chandeliers are installed, which are important hanging from the ceiling, casting light on the walls and floor. But if the apartment has not very high ceilings, then a large chandelier may simply not have enough space, since it should not impede the movement of people in the room.

It will be important enough to determine the correct style in which the chandelier is made. It must coincide with the style in which the apartment was renovated, otherwise the light fixture will spoil the whole picture that the interior has.

The form is also important, because the illumination of the room can depend on it. The color of a chandelier can also play a role. Warm or cold tones available in the body and shades can diversify and make the color world of the interior richer. You can combine different colors, but you can and vice versa, choose a fairly contrasting, if, of course, allows the design project.

Preparation for installation

Anyone can hang a chandelier in their own apartment. But in order to prevent a tragedy, it is necessary to follow all safety rules and in no case do not rely on chance. All actions must be thought out and the connections insulated.

In order for the installation process to proceed calmly and safely, you must prepare the following tools:

• pliers or pliers;
• screwdrivers with both slots;
• insulating tape;
• terminal connections;
• drill with a set of drills;
• indicator;
• knife;
• pencil;
• ladder.

Even if an old chandelier was already hanging on the ceiling, you should not forget about the possible layout. But there are times when this wire does not meet the necessary characteristics, so you have to change it. And if so, then you can move the chandelier to any place.

To conduct a new wiring, as well as hang a chandelier, you need to mark the place where you will need to drill a hole. This mark will serve as a guide not only for installation, but also for comparing the location of the chandelier in space.

After making sure that the device will be in the right place, you can start drilling. For this, a punch and a drill are taken, the diameter of which will allow the anchor hook to go into the hole.

Installation and connection of the chandelier

When everything is done, you can lay a new wire. As a rule, floor slabs in apartments have rather large voids inside. Therefore, through them and you can hold a new cable. This will help the wire, which must be pushed through the void to the wall on which the junction box is located. Having fixed the wire to the wire, you can freely stretch it through the plate and pull it out.

In the drilled hole, you need to install the mounting hook on which the lighting device will hang. When the hook is in place, it must be carefully twisted to get a durable device that can withstand the weight of the chandelier. On the hook you need to hang a chandelier.

For the chandelier to illuminate the room, you must connect the wiring wires to the wiring on the chandelier. To do this, you need to strip the ends of the new wire.
