There are several possibilities.

And here there is an excellent solution - thermoelectric cameras, commonly used as automobile refrigerators. Thermoelectric cameras are a very convenient thing. The principle of operation of the devices is based on the temperature difference. Thermocouple in them are aluminum plates. When turned on for cooling, the upper plate heats up and the fan blows warm air from the chamber. The lower plate, on the contrary, is cooled, and another fan pumps cooled air into the chamber.

When the polarity is changed, the refrigerator works for heating. The maximum temperature difference inside and outside the chamber is 25-25.5 ° C.

This means that if there is 30 degrees of heat on the street, there will be + 5 ° C in the refrigerator. In this case, the temperature still does not drop below 0 ° C, which means that food and drinks will not freeze. Thus, the cooling capacity of such a refrigerator is approximately 20 degrees. But keep in mind that it is best not to transport the container in the trunk, because there in the heat the temperature will not be 30 ° C, but all 60 ° C. It is easy to imagine that the result is poor. Heating ability is high: maintaining heat up to +65 ° С.

You can switch from heating to cooling mode using the indicator: green means supply or removal of cold, and red, respectively, heat. According to statistics, refrigerators with a capacity of 15 to 40 liters are most in demand among buyers, although on sale you will find three-liter models that exceed 50 liters. Moreover, they all weigh a little - a maximum of 10-11 kg.

And yet, according to the principle of action, they most likely do not apply to small refrigerators, but to large thermoses, because their purpose is to maintain the temperature of products.

They are autonomous, that is, they do not need any power sources. Containers maintain the desired temperature from 12 hours to 5 days, and bags from 12 hours to 18 hours. To do this, they put already chilled foods and drinks, preferably “to the eyeballs”, and put on top the elements of cold - briquettes filled with a special gel. Pre briquettes need to be frozen for several hours (7-8 hours).

Instead of gel, domestic manufacturers of cooler bags fill in slightly salted water - it freezes faster, but also thaws faster.
