What are the possibilities of a stretch ceiling, not everyone knows

Stretch ceiling opened up many opportunities for the design of apartments. Using them, you can visually change the space and transform it. What else can be done with the participation of the PVC ceiling?

Change space geometry

For small rooms it is impossible to fit into the interior the complex geometry of the ceiling - arches, arches, corners, but you can experiment with color. Many people still believe that the ceiling should be even and white, but the possibilities of modern design refute this. In small rooms, you can also make rich ceiling coverings. Glossy dark coatings, dark blue or chocolate, give a special depth to the ceiling. If you still want to keep light colors, you can make the perimeter matte and the center glossy.

An interesting option for a stretch ceiling is a transparent PVC film. If you put LEDs under it, you get an unusual effect: as if the entire canvas is lit, and the ceiling goes up. It turns out as if the room has no boundaries. Particularly successful solution is suitable for ceilings of small height.

On stretch ceilings you can make photo printing of any image. In small rooms, drawings with a long perspective, which visually expand the space, look good. PVC film can even be mounted on walls. For this, a suitable color and pattern are selected, which from the wall goes to the ceiling. Such images stretch the space.

You can make a multi-level construction without drywall. Thanks to a combination of contrasting colors, linear space can be expanded. To do this, the edging of the ceiling is done in bright color, and the middle is left white.

From a stretch ceiling, you can make a starry sky, which is realized using fiber optics, good printing or many LEDs. The smaller the size of the stars, the higher the ceiling seems.

Unusual use of PVC film

Film materials are not necessarily used as a tensile structure. Designers of them make 3D sculptures in the form of flowers, fruits and vegetables, fairy-tale characters and abstractions. Sometimes decorations are made of PVC, and unusual floor lamps or chandeliers for the interior.

From this material, you can make a canvas for a picture, covers for mobile phones, unusual straps from thinly cut strips of PVC.

Proper lighting

When installing a stretch ceiling, you can experiment with lighting. For example, some refuse chandeliers in favor of spotlights. Thanks to the competent distribution of LEDs on the ceiling in several rows, you can achieve the effect of expanding space.

You can create the effect of a “soaring ceiling” if you lay an LED strip between the drywall boxes and the PVC film. In this case, the central part is visually separated and seems to soar. You can make RGB-backlight, which is controlled by the remote control and changes color.
