Plastic windows are PVC systems with a metal frame inside, which is used to strengthen the structure. Two or three chamber double-glazed windows are inserted inside the profile. With proper operation and proper care, the service life of metal-plastic structures can be up to 10 years.

Basic rules for the operation of a metal-plastic window:
The protective film with which the PVC profile is coated must be removed in the first month after installation, in order to avoid contamination of the profile with adhesive from the film. In the future, removing such glue from the profile will be quite problematic.

After installation, do not open the window for two or three days, in order to avoid its deformation, due to the pressure of the mounting foam. This happens rarely enough, but it’s better not to risk it. In order to avoid jamming of the casement windows, it is more advisable to carry out all turns of the handle with the casement tightly closed. Opening the window must be done carefully, without sharp jerks.

Before closing the window, check for any foreign objects (pebbles, glass, etc.) in the opening. If such things get between the flaps, they can lead to deformation of the profile. When the handle is in closed mode, it must be in a strictly vertical position. It is not worth adjusting the hardware yourself. It is better to seek help from specialists.

The window sill should be cleaned with agents that do not contain acid and soda. Rubber seals also require special care. They must be cleaned of contaminants by special means containing silicone. This will provide the best water repulsion and the greatest elasticity. Cleaning and rinsing require drainage holes (drainage holes), for unhindered passage of water through them. Cleaning should be done about once a week. When wet cleaning the window, do not forget about the fittings of the PVC profile, since untimely cleaning from dirt can lead to breakage.

In order to prevent condensate collection on the windowsill, it is necessary to ventilate the room with a metal-plastic window quite often (two to three times a day) to ensure air circulation.
Window scratches can be removed with acetone or high octane gasoline.
In order to increase the life of your windows, at least once a year, you must:
Check hardware fittings and tighten screws. Check the progress of the hardware and lubricate it with machine oil. In no case should you use vegetable oils - this will lead to irreparable defects. Check the passage of the drainage holes. Check the cleanliness of the rubber seals.

When using windows, it is forbidden: In strong winds, leave the window open. Load the leaf with additional weight in a vertical position. Replace parts of the hardware yourself. With a manual replacement, the installer's warranty is lost. Put hot objects on the windowsill. Load the protruding part of the window sill. It is forbidden to hit on the elements of the accessories of building mixtures: putties, paints, etc.
If the window breaks, seek help from professionals. They can easily eliminate the defect and give a guarantee on the work performed.
