Criteria for choosing a quality bed and mattress

Almost any mattress is suitable for a good bed - this is exactly what many buyers think. But there are supporters who argue that, even if the bed is of very good quality, then in combination with a poor-quality mattress, it will not give the desired result.

What determines the degree of rest? What should I focus on when choosing a bed? And, how can I choose a berth so that it is budgetary and at the same time comfortable?

/

The main component of any bedroom is the bed. As a rule, the simplest model consists of a frame, frame, backrest, legs and base under the mattress. When choosing a frame, the requirements are small. It must be very durable and safe (environmentally friendly). Of course, ideally, the frame should consist of solid wood. But the minus of this frame is that it is very expensive. And also it is possible to choose a joiner's furniture board which is very strong, reliable and made of wood blocks fixed to each other. The result is that a joinery furniture panel will be an alternative to a wood frame.

If we talk about the frame, then it can be wooden and metal. The main function of the frame is to maintain the weight of the mattress and the sleeping person. And also it is worth noting that you need to be as careful as possible with the frame and mattress, as they are able to deform.

The main role of the frame and frame is to ensure the strength of the furniture and its durability of use. By security is meant that furniture should not endanger human health. That is, the composition of the furniture should in no case contain toxins. And, of course, furniture details should also not be toxic. Earlier in Europe, a mattress called “memory material” was popular, which contained toxic materials. Such mattresses were heated using a person’s own body, and after heating the product secreted harmful toxins that cause irritation in the skin, as well as respiratory irritation ways.

As it became clear after the study, arsenic and phosphorus acted as toxins. Only as a result of the studies, it was decided to continue to produce such mattresses in Europe, but already much less than before.

It was also found that many consumers from Russia have poor experience with furniture that is made of chipboard. Toxins such as methanol, phenol and formaldehyde were found in large quantities in such furniture. Such substances are highly toxic. If we talk about formaldehyde, then it is not completely excreted from the body. It accumulates in the bone marrow and thereby poisoning the nervous system.

/

What will be the rest on furniture made of such material? Is it possible to stay healthy using such furniture? If we talk about safe (non-toxic) furniture, then it is made from binders such as glue and varnish. Therefore, it is worth choosing furniture made from natural materials. That is, a sleeping bed made of wood and an orthopedic mattress. Then, undoubtedly, the quality and safety of the mattress will be worthy.

Therefore, when choosing a bed and mattress, you need to buy safe (non-toxic) products for human health. And also do not forget about the position of the body, what should it be? How do we feel after rest?

/

Of course, the mattress plays a big role in these matters. And sometimes we don’t even notice that a mattress and a bed can so affect human health. This may be due to uncomfortable springs, which subsequently can dig into the back of a person or in the sides. Therefore, you should choose a spring that does not stick anywhere, elastic and even. In fact, choosing a mattress for yourself is not difficult. The main thing when choosing two things: lie down on the mattress and study its composition. There are even such manufacturers who provide in the context of their models of mattresses. This will allow you to see what the product consists of and you can be completely sure that it is really high quality.

So, let's talk about choosing a mattress in more detail. Of course, when choosing an orthopedic mattress, you need to choose a bed with the right base for it. And this is very important. It should be noted that the bed should fully support the weight of the mattress and at the same time the load should be evenly distributed. Of course, if a person puts plywood as a support, and accordingly a mattress on it, then over time this design will begin to bend. The orthopedic base is a lattice of slats, that is, planks made of wood, which are connected in a certain way. And also the contour consists of metal, due to which the support becomes wear-resistant. At the same time, the mass of the mattress is uniform and there is no sensation of its excess weight. It is also worth noting that the preventive effect is improving, and its surface should be flat. And do not forget about this when choosing.

Orthopedic mattresses are not thin, as you might imagine at first glance, but rather, on the contrary, are slightly thicker, since the thickness is from 20 cm or more. And, of course, when choosing a mattress, you must not forget about this important nuance. Thanks to this, you can understand which bed in height will be either high or low. There are beds that have a function, thanks to which it is possible to slightly raise the mattress or, conversely, lower it. Of course, this is a great advantage and very convenient when there is freedom to choose the location of the mattress - lower or higher. But in standard beds, unfortunately, there is no such mechanism. Therefore, it is recommended to choose a bed with a similar mechanism.

/

It is also worth noting that the edges of the mattress should correspond to the edges of the bed. That is, if the mattress protrudes beyond the bed, then they do not fit together. It would be very nice if the edges docked with the frame.
