The solution should be prepared strictly according to the technology that is prescribed in the instructions for it. It is mixed with a certain amount of water. Before applying whitewash, slightly moisten the surface of the ceiling to ensure a good repair result.

Whitewashing with a construction chalk

The most popular is whitewashing with chalk, and the material should be applied to a previously prepared surface, which is characterized by evenness, defect-free and low humidity.

It is recommended to apply whitewash from chalk to the ceiling with a vacuum cleaner, although many people do not know how to perform work with its use. It should be remembered that the distance that needs to be maintained from the spray nozzle to the ceiling depends entirely on the power of the equipment. As a result, exclusively small drops should fall onto the surface, with the help of which a completely even and high-quality coating is formed. From too large drops, as a rule, ugly and noticeable smudges arise.

It is also possible to whitewash the ceiling with the manual and most popular method. For this, an ordinary roller is usually used, which initially needs to be dipped into the container in which the whitewash is located. After that, the tool must be rolled along a special grid, as a result of which the excess material is completely eliminated. Next, direct whitewashing begins, after which the ceiling looks attractive and has a matte shade.
