After carrying out all the preparatory work, you can safely proceed directly to the application of wallpaper on the wall.
It is worth noting here that the preparation of the mixture takes a rather long period of time. In order for all the ingredients to completely dissolve, you need about 6-8 hours. After the mixture is ready, it is applied in a thin layer, not more than 2 mm, to the wall using a special grater. The technology of coating the walls with the material is the same as with plaster. To ensure rapid evaporation of moisture, ventilate the room. Complete drying of the mixture ranges from 24 to 48 hours. To accelerate the drying of the walls, a fan heater or convector is used.
Advantages and disadvantages of the material
When choosing materials designed for decorating walls, you need to know the advantages and disadvantages of each of them. The most important advantage of liquid wallpaper is that they are able to pass air. The air exchange in the room occurs naturally, without obstacles. This also includes a fairly simple algorithm of work associated with drawing on the walls. Everyone can do this on their own, attracting professionals is not necessary. Another plus is the absence of seams, such a solid surface wears out less. It is very simple to repair, if the family has small children, then the likelihood of damage to the wallpaper is very high. For repairs, it is simply necessary to clean the damaged part of the wall from the old wallpaper and apply a new layer. In this case, after drying, the integrity of the composition is not violated. Eco-friendly, elastic, liquid wallpaper maintains color saturation for a long time, thanks to its resistance to sunlight.
There are practically no drawbacks to these mixtures. This should include only a small color palette and a fairly high price.
Choosing liquid wallpaper as wall pasting, you can create an interesting design, and most importantly, forget about plywood for a long time. Their lifespan is much longer than conventional wallpaper.
