Scandinavian classics
An abundance of white, artificial aging and pastel colors are the basic techniques of this trend. The furniture is striking in its simplicity and laconicism, while leaving the impression of solidity, which does not care about time.
Speaking of the classic Scandinavian style, there is an almost complete absence of flashy colors, glass, plastic and metal. All of the above, even if it appears, is in the form of small accents, carefully played with the use of natural materials - wood, stone and ceramics.
Living room
Central to the heart of any home is the neutral sofa. Exceptionally comfortable, it is unobtrusive thanks to the light-colored monochromatic upholstery. Another notable feature of this upholstered furniture is rather high wooden legs, emphasizing the correct geometry and giving visual lightness to the structure.
When choosing tables, chairs and armchairs, it is also advisable to prefer light pastel colors and natural materials. Beech, birch, pine or rattan will ideally fit into such an interior, bringing harmony and comfort to it.
As for cabinets, partitions and shelves, they are often given a slight touch of antiquity. In addition, it is important to put compactness, functionality and openness in the first place - drawers and doors are used only if they cannot be replaced by open shelves.
Color in such a living room comes with accessories. Bright pillows, a blanket with an interesting print, a beautiful vase, indoor plants, an original picture dedicated to the splendor of nature - all this can and should be used. True, do not forget about moderation - two or three contrasting strokes in the living room are quite enough.

Bedroom
In this room, the total power of light and functionality is also welcomed. It is better to replace a bulky wardrobe with a compact chest of drawers or antique classic white wardrobes. A discreet and comfortable bed is usually complemented by drawers.
The dressing table, like all bedroom furniture, is also devoid of excessive pretentiousness and embellishments. It is better to prefer closed storage systems (under the countertop or in drawers) to the exhibition of cosmetics on the shelves.

Kitchen
The classics are characterized by minimal wall congestion, although much depends on the area of the room. If the size of the kitchen allows you to do only with floor cabinets, while leaving enough space, this is great. They can be supplemented with open shelves for storing spices and sets, which will also play the role of decorative accessories.
In a small area, this approach will not work. Therefore, compact rooms are inconceivable without wall sections of small depth and height to the ceiling. And so that there is no feeling of clutter, kitchen furniture is painted in various shades of white, light gray, cream or washed out blue colors.
As for the apron and work surfaces, it is better to give preference to natural stone. But the dining area should be given over to the power of the tree. Moreover, both the table and the chairs can delight the eye with both deliberate roughness and contrast of colors, and underlined weightlessness with neutral tones.

Hallway
All the same light shades and natural materials. A hanger can become a contrasting detail - a rough wooden one or an openwork one, forged from metal.
In the hallway, the maximum disguise of storage systems is encouraged. And the visual expansion of space can be entrusted to a mirror in an aged frame.

Bathroom
Made in white and light gray colors, it also stands out for its simple geometry and spaciousness. Open shelves, the absence or transparency of partitions, the rational use of a hidden niche behind a mirror or under a bathroom - all this in the Scandinavian style is welcome.
The coldness of light monochromatic or monochrome tiles with a simple pattern is easily diluted with the warmth of wood, the beauty of the texture of which is clearly visible through the protective coating. Moreover, the array is appropriate both on the walls in the form of shelves, and as a countertop or a door that covers a niche under the bathroom.

International Scandinavian style
The Danish tradition of the 1950s and 1970s made its contribution by modifying the classics, complementing them with new materials and streamlined shapes. This version of the northern interior stands out for its loyalty to glass, plastic and metal, which have the right to settle in any room.
This means that the sofa can acquire steel legs, the table top has the right to please with transparent weightlessness, and bright acrylic will organically fit into the interior, taking the form of an exquisite chair. At the same time, the color settles in the house not only thanks to accessories - this role is quite successfully taken on by upholstered furniture.
Moderation remains the only constant rule. If the role of the contrasting element is allocated to the sofa, then the rest of the furniture is still better to select, focusing on the classic style. A glass coffee table will look organic in combination with laconic wooden chairs. Wallpaper with colored prints will not spoil the impression if the floor will delight you with the warmth of light wood, and the furniture will warm you with pastel colors and natural materials.
