What you need to work

It is quite possible to make a device with your own hands. For work, improvised materials and tools will be required:

• the regulator itself (it can be purchased at a very affordable price);
• soldering iron;
• pliers;
• wire cutters;
• insulating tape;

• old power cord with plug;
• a small container with a hard case, for example, plastic (you can put a regulator here to protect it from water).

Step-by-step instruction

To make a regulator, you need to act like this:

1. First you need to purchase the regulator itself. This small device consists of a board, a radiator with a triac. There is a variable resistor that regulates the minimum number of revolutions of the tool. There are also capacitors, input terminals, diodes, and a variable resistor (round knob). It is he who serves as the speed controller for the grinder.

2. For connection, you can use 2 contacts located in the middle.
3. Open the insulation of the power cord with a knife and get to the wire itself.
4. Trim the insulation from 2 sides - it will turn out something like this.
5. The next step in the instructions on how to reduce the speed on the grinder is to make a small hole in a plastic container. You can make it with a hot soldering iron. Moreover, the device should be slightly moved from side to side in order to increase the size of the hole.

7. Remove one screw (center left or right).
