Connecting a heat gun is not difficult when there are detailed instructions for using the device. It doesn’t matter if it’s a gas or diesel model - in our article we will analyze each option separately and tell you in more detail how the 380 volt heat gun is connected.

The first connection of the thermal gun

It all depends on what kind of car you are going to put in your room. Electric, gas and diesel stand out - the most common and not so expensive. The peculiarity of each is its connection, which is different from the rest. Let's analyze each method in detail.

It is important to say that even devices of the same type (for example, electronic) can be connected to both 220 volts and 380. In this case, it is imperative to think over the correct grounding in advance.

How to connect a 380 volt electric heat gun

Before switching on, install the device in a place where hot air cannot get on flammable objects. Then follow the procedure:

• We turn the switch to the off state, if we have not done this before;
• We plug the plug into a three-phase socket;
• Press "ON" on the body of the device and set the desired temperature.

Diesel

The process is much simpler, since we do not use power in the circuit:

1. Open the fuel tank and fill it with diesel fuel;
2. We connect to the hood, if the device is indirectly heated;
3. We plug the system into a power outlet and press turn on;
4. Set up the thermostat.

The process of connecting gas guns

What you need to do to get a working device on gas:

1. We bring the gas hose to the body;
2. We connect the gearbox with a gas cylinder and check the sealing with a soapy solution (in no case with an open flame);

If you decide to buy a 380 volt gun, then you should know right away that this is both an expensive pleasure and equipment that is difficult to connect at home. It's just that not every house has a 3-phase outlet - everyone is used to using standard 220 V. Next, we will talk a little about how you can convert 3 phases into one.

What to set up

For alteration, you can only use a motor up to 3 kW - you can try a more powerful one, but for this you need to install both an additional machine on the switchboard and special wiring. The cable simply may not pull such a voltage, so any alteration may fail.

What to consider when assembling

To set up an electric motor for 220 volts, first disassemble the cover of the thermal gun and see how many windings are in the diagram. Available with 3 or 6 turns. If 6 - you can switch from one scheme to another. This is what we need.
