Modern minimalism in the interior

The interior styles known to us for a long time are easily recognizable, as they have a bright personality. It is much more difficult at times to clearly identify current trends. The romance of Art Nouveau began to get lost, as times have changed. The way of life of people has changed, new technologies have appeared. They began to pay more attention to functionality and practicality.

By the beginning of the twenty-first century, minimalism was able to take a strong position thanks to the final disposal of unnecessary details. Modern minimalism does not accept any creativity, and it is very categorical, but the room designed in this style looks very bright and interesting. Colors are chosen clean, albeit neutral, all lines are strictly geometric.

There are several varieties of modern minimalism. Many recognize the Japanese direction as the most striking. Any decoration on the surfaces is not provided. Everything should be concise and as simple as possible. The decoration can combine natural and artificial materials. Simplicity of color and purity of lines are the main signs of modern minimalism. Natural tones are chosen for color additions. If the room is zoned, soft transitions are not used for this purpose. Everything must be defined clearly and without any discrepancies. Light colors are used as the base.

Textiles are usually not used; no additional decor is provided on windows and walls. All lines should be aligned and have a clear outline.

There should be a lot of natural light in the room, so curtains or curtains are usually completely absent. Mandatory elements of modern minimalism are glass, wood, brick and metal. The interior should not contain unnecessary decor elements, but at the same time this style should not be confused with asceticism. Minimalism provides for the comfort of the inhabitants, it has a certain cosiness.
