Regardless of what opinions exist in society about high-tech style: to someone it will seem refined, someone will consider it an eyesore - this style of decorating a room has already firmly entered the modern fashion. High-tech has become an integral part of the architectural and decoration sphere of human activity. Being the youngest, this style, like many of its predecessors, met with a large number of criticism and praise.
Nowadays, in almost any city in the world, you can see examples of high-tech style. He has incorporated all modern trends and industrial innovations. High-tech rooms and buildings are equipped with countless technical devices and appliances that make our daily lives easier. Tall houses made in this style usually consist of heavy steel beams, metal plates and concrete frames. The outer walls of the newest buildings are now completely transparent; made of bare glass and mirrors without any decor, they reveal the entire skeleton of the building.
High-tech style in the interior became very popular at the end of the last century. In the second half of the 20th century, constructivism gained momentum and, in the end, merged with the achievements of the scientific and technological progress of our time. Thus, a new style of interior decoration appeared. High-tech was created for young, fashionable, active people who are accustomed to all the benefits of civilization and appreciate, above all, functionality, and only then the aesthetic side of things. Life does not stand still, which means that new ultramodern things appear day by day, so the hi-tech interior is in constant change, improvement.
The main direction of style is the combination of functionality, practicality and minimalism. All elements of the interior must have a specific meaning, perform a specific function. The rooms are equipped with modern technology, transforming furniture.
The decor is minimal: walls painted in light colors can be hung with a pair of black and white photos or paintings, put on the floor an unusual vase shape, and tables and shelves can be modestly decorated with abstract trinkets.
In the high-tech interior, everything is in order. Straightness and rigor gives a sense of novelty. The furniture is mainly made of metal, glass and plastic or upholstered with modern plain materials. Negligence is not welcome: things are hidden from view in niches or multifunctional wardrobes, numerous wires from “smart” appliances are hidden in walls, ceilings, partitions. Often, a high-tech design resorts to building finishes: brickwork is deliberately exposed, stucco “aged”, exposed out pipes, etc. However, the general view of the room does not become like a construction site, on the contrary, a spirit urbanization.
A bright point of the interior is another characteristic feature of high-tech style. Against a plain background, furniture of rich colors or any other catchy large objects looks very impressive. The room decorated in this new-fangled style should be spacious with large windows. It is customary for hi-tech to divide the area into functional modules, dividing them by partitions, colors, furniture and other attributes. Doors are usually not recognized at all or are made of glass, mirrored in metal frames.
A separate issue of style is lighting. The light of the room should be scattered, affecting all corners of the room. Multilevel, adjustable lighting, wall lights, halogen lamps are welcome. High-tech style is one of the most modern styles in the interior. The abundance of expensive materials and technical devices makes it one of the most expensive. Hi-tech can be successfully combined with other styles of interior decoration.
