Seat-pillow on a stool made of old jeans in 1 hour

Necessary materials:

• Denim shirt or jacket (in my case, size 48-50);
• Tracing paper or newspaper;
• Scissors, matching threads, pins;
• Chalk for marking fabric;
• Foam rubber (thickness 10 - 20 mm).

1. First, we need to make a paper template. We put the stool on the tracing paper with the seat down and circle it. We make notes in the places where the legs are located so that you know where to sew the strings. Cut out.

1. Place the template on the fabric so that there is enough for 2 parts. Consider a seam allowance and a volume of 10-13 mm on each workpiece. In my case, the sleeves are used. We carefully strip them off from the product and try on a template. Next, outline the template with chalk and cut it out. Don't forget the allowance. We will make ties from the remains of the sleeves. Cut out 8 strips. I got it in size 100 * 45 mm.

1. We fold the future strings with the front side inward along the length and sew. First we sew in width. Before reaching the edge of the product about 5 mm, we stop, leaving the needle in the fabric. Raise the foot, turn the product and continue the seam along the length. Remember to tack at the beginning and end of the seam. We act in the same way with all strips. With the help of a pencil or scissors, we turn out the ties and iron them.

1. Let's move on to connecting the parts. We fold the round parts of the future pillow with the front sides. The ties should be put between the parts of the seat in the places where the legs of the stool are marked (see photo). We split everything with pins and you can sew the details.

1. In the places where the ties are located, we make a double seam for reliability. When stitching parts, leave an area of ​​about 80-100 mm unstitched. It is needed in order to turn out the product and fill it with foam rubber. The pillow can be turned inside out.

1. We circle the paper template of the pillow on foam rubber and cut it out. I have foam rubber 10 mm thick, so I made 2 parts. This will make the pillow softer and more voluminous. We roll up the foam rubber into a tube and stuff the pillow. We carefully straighten it inside. Sew up the pocket with a blind seam.

1. We are almost finished, but so that the foam does not get lost during washing and does not move inside the pillow, we sew it through and through in several places. The cushion is ready!
