Sooner or later, everyone can face the problem of sockets falling out of the wall. This situation is rather unpleasant and causes a lot of inconvenience in the operation of the product, and besides, it can be very dangerous for life and health. But the resulting problem can be easily fixed independently.
There may be several reasons for the outlet to fall out of the base. This can happen due to improper operation when the power cord is pulled out with force. Or if it is not properly fixed to the wall. The lack of a sockets designed for reliable mounting of the device and some other reasons.
Consider two ways to return the outlet to its original place, which are quite simple to use and will not take much time.
The first method is suitable for situations when the outlet falls out due to its long-term use. To return the product to its original place in the socket, we will need to perform the following manipulations:
- Unscrew the central holding bolt;
- We remove the outer panel;
- We take out the main unit of the outlet from the base, having previously unscrewed the screws on the side spacers;
- We fix the wires attached to the block and install it in its original place. Tighten the screws on the side spacers;
- We install the outer panel and fix it well with the central holding bolt.
If the work performed does not give the expected effect, then it is necessary to take additional measures to reliably fix the outlet in the base:
- In some cases, space remains between the spacer petals, which is why they do not fit snugly against the walls. Small pieces of rubber or a piece of sandpaper folded in several layers will help to rectify the situation. Lay them between the petals and the walls of the socket, and then tighten the bolts of the spacer elements;
- In some cases, the situation can be corrected by the force method. Slightly bend the spacer tabs with pliers so that you securely secure the outlet to the base.
It is important to note that when working with electrical priors and electrical networks, be sure to follow safety precautions. Disconnect power to the shield or use rubber gloves and a tool with insulated handles. When carrying out these works, the main thing is safety.
