Damask wallpaper

Damask pattern on the wallpaper is applied by many manufacturers of finishes. This is one of the most popular drawing options. Damask called seamless patterns in which vertical axes are usually present. The style is usually vegetative or ornamental. The dimensions of the damask pattern are large. In appearance, such a coloring may resemble a stencil applied to the base.

The tradition of applying a damask pattern on the wallpaper was laid back in those days when the walls were finished with textiles. Fabric draperies are sometimes used today, however, they are much more expensive than wallpaper, it is more difficult to care for them.

There are no strict rules regarding the choice of colors for a damask pattern. The combinations were originally contrasting, because such ornaments come from the east. At the moment, you can choose something suitable for any situation, since the scope of Damascus has expanded significantly.

There are certain universal combinations in the damask pattern, which can be used if homeowners do not like complex combinations of color and experiment. Shades can be beige, colors are mostly light. The most relevant today is a bias in grayish shades, however, a yellowish version can also be used.

The colors in the damask pattern should not unnecessarily contrast with each other. A good solution could be a simple mixture of structures. A traditional paper one, for example, can be a monophonic part of the finish, and the image on it can be realized using imitation of leather, velvet or something else.

When choosing a wallpaper with a damask pattern, one should be guided by the elements already existing in the room. In the presence of white skirting boards and doors, a practically win-win option may be the choice of a pattern in which white is also present. To other interior items, wall decoration will be tightly tied. White blotches will exclude the possibility that the wallpaper will appear too bright or dark.

On a dark basis, damask patterns show their best. Complex and deep shades can be selected if the room has good lighting and a sufficiently large area. It can be burgundy, blue and similar colors. Color effects will occur when the sun enters the finish, if the wallpaper contains light reflecting inclusions, for example, pearl inserts.
