Connecting a keyboard from a laptop to the system unit is quite difficult. The easiest option is to use special programs. They switch the keyboard and mouse that are connected to the system unit or laptop, so that you can use another device remotely over the network.

For example, you can use Synergy. This software must be installed on both connected devices. Then you need to make the necessary settings. This is done as follows:

• On the connected laptop, you need to run the program and find the Server item;
• In the menu you need to select Server Configuration, find the icon with the connected system unit in it and drag it into the Nout cell;
• Next, you need to register the computer name in the corresponding Screen Name field and, having saved all the changes, close the window;
• On the block in the program window you need to find Client and enter the IP address of the created server;
• After saving all the entered data, the program can be closed;

There are several similar programs on the Internet, for example, Team Viewer.

If you need to connect the keyboard from the laptop to the unit, you should use the most comfortable program for remote access.

Possible connection problems

If connecting a laptop to a computer using software does not cause any problems, then the need to connect only one device is quite difficult to fulfill. For people who do not understand microcircuits, boards and soldering, this is impossible to do on their own.

The difficulty is that the laptop keyboard works from its motherboard and does not have a built-in controller. Therefore, if you need to connect it to the unit, you will need to find a replacement for the motherboard and correctly solder all the microcircuits.
