Everyone is used to using a washing machine.It is both convenient and practical, and saves time. But the question often arises: where to put this colossus in a small-sized apartment, so that it does not catch the eye and does not spoil the interior. Let's consider some interesting solutions.

Due to the small area of the bathrooms, usually the installation of a washing machine is not even considered here. But in vain, because if you try hard, you can still squeeze the washing unit. Non-standard solutions are possible:
- Set the machine under the sink. In this case, you will have to purchase a narrow washing machine with a depth of up to 45 cm, and a height of up to 73 cm.
- If the machine is already there and it is a standard width of 60 cm, then rub on the washbasin with a drain to the side, not down, and still install it under the sink.
- Put the washing machine next to the washbasin (if space permits) and cover with a common countertop. You will have the opportunity to make drawers next to them.
And so, and so figured - does not work? Then you have to take a radical step and get rid of the bathroom, replacing it with a minimum size shower cubicle - 80x80 cm. In this case, you will guess the place not only for the washing machine, but also for the cabinet, in which you can hide the unit itself, and also the basket for dirty laundry will fit.
Can't deny yourself the pleasure of soaking in the bathroom? Then install the washing machine next to it, just think about the possibility of a partition so that water droplets do not get on the washing machine. On the partition, make shelves for all kinds of household trifles, and the machine itself can be hidden from prying eyes for drapery, blinds or a roller blind.
There are daredevils who refuse a sink in favor of a washing machine. But here, too, there is a way out - to install a sink above the bathtub - designers now offer such designs.
Restroom
The washing machine in the toilet will not be an eyesore to anyone, so you don’t even have to hide it. This method also has a number of advantages:
- lack of moisture in comparison with a bathroom;
- the presence of a tiled floor compared with a kitchen laminate.
Do not discard this option due to lack of space, because the toilet can always be moved to the wall or reduce the size of the sink (if any). Pick up a narrow top-loading washing machine and squeeze it next to the toilet. If you are ready to fork out, buy a model with a flush in the toilet. Water after washing in this case will accumulate and be used during the discharge of the tank.
You can install the washer under the water heater, and in the middle also the shelves will fit.
If you can’t fit the washing machine into the toilet, and there is a closet next to the toilet, you can make a niche in the adjacent wall and install it there. Recently, models have appeared that can be hung on the wall, only the load of linen is usually less - up to 3 kg, and the wall should be solid, not plasterboard.
Combined bathroom
If you have already combined the bathroom with the toilet or are just going to do itb, the washing machine will fit perfectly into the new interior. In this case, you will increase the area of the room, and it will not be necessary to drive the washing machine under the sink. It can be placed separately, covered with a countertop, which at the same time will play the role of an ironing board.
Kitchen
Installing a washing machine in the kitchen is not uncommon, although sometimes its appearance spoils the interior. To prevent this from happening, you can hide it:
- in the cabinet under the countertop or in the cabinet-column;
- choose a washing machine for the color of the facade;
- choose the unit to the color of the refrigerator and gas stove.
Since the last two points are more difficult to complete, most likely, you will have to be content with the first. And you can do even more non-standard, by entering the washing machine in the bar or in the island.
If the kitchen has a niche, then you should definitely install a washing machine there. There will also be room for shelves.
Recently, it has been fashionable to make a tall column for embedded equipment. In this case, it would be logical to integrate a washing machine into it.
Hallway
If you are unlucky to such an extent, that the washing machine does not get in the bathroom or in the kitchen, consider installing it in the hallway. A corridor niche is especially suitable for this purpose. True, you have to stretch communications to this place.
If there is no niche or pantry in the hallway, then the washing machine will have to be “hidden” in a cupboard or cabinet (it can be behind sliding partitions) so as not to spoil the aesthetics of the room. On the shelves you will store household chemicals and install a laundry basket, so that you will have a real mini-laundry.
It is desirable that the washing machine is installed through the wall with a bath or toilet, then it will be much easier to bring water and drain.
Wardrobe
If you set aside a whole room as a dressing room, it is advisable to install a washing machine, dryer and ironing board there. Just keep in mind that communication is prohibited in living rooms. And at the same time, you still have to worry about waterproofing the floor and good ventilation. But if all these conditions are met, then you can choose a model of a standard size washer and with a large load of linen.
We hope that we helped you make the right choice, and now you will not have problems with the placement of the washing machine, since you will correctly and imperceptibly enter it into the interior of your home.
