After painting the floor a new cover was wrinkled or crack - not uncommon, especially when the painting was carried out with violations. What can cause this problem, and what can be done - look at next.
corrugation
In this case, on the floor appear shallow cracks and wrinkles, as if the surface itself becomes dirty. The reason for this situation may lie in applying paint too thick layer on a porous surface, or it was of poor quality, it was not aligned.
issue a decision - remove old paint by using a scraper or sandpaper, then primed and re-painted, but choose a quality paint. With regard to the last - it is optimal to choose latex formulations that create a smoother surface.
Cracks and delamination
The very composition of the paint on the floor can crack and flake off after. The reasons for this situation may lie in the following:
- ink of poor quality and it does not provide proper adhesion to the floor surface, not elastic.
- paint applied to the ground is too thick / thin layer, and the floor itself is not primed and is not aligned.
- themselves cracks may be due to deformation of the surface to itself, is not observed staining technique.
The solution is prepurified old surface and polish it with emery, as required - to walk putty layer. If the paint timber floor - and a primer is applied after the plaster and acrylic paint is coated.
Peeling
It appears cracking and peeling, flaking paint layer. The reasons for this state of affairs may lie in the following:
- paint layer is too thick, especially if it was an oil or alkyd composition;
- it was applied not to the relevant weather conditions - for example on the street it was too cold or hot, and changes in temperature did not allow the paint to dry properly;
- painting itself was carried out with high humidity - the moisture adversely affects the drying process;
- and indeed the surface is not properly prepared.
The solution - remove the remaining paint from the floor and walk on it or polishing sandpaper. If necessary - walk primer to applying the layer to dry completely, then paint over the floor anew quality, preferably with acrylic paint. Plus, it is not necessary to work with very hot weather, cold and hot room.
