The neighbor puzzled: a gas service employee should come for a scheduled inspection of the stove. Although she is neat, she additionally washes everything. And suddenly she began to doubt whether she was washing the burners correctly. I have never had such a question before. And then she thought about it herself. In general, the next day the gasman not only checked the stoves, but also explained everything to us. It turns out that this simple matter has its own tricks.

I don’t know about you, but when cleaning, I usually pay attention to the surface of the stove. No, I also wipe the burners with a damp cloth. But this is not enough!
Burners contaminated with food particles and grease can cause uneven gas flow and low flame. Gas simply will not be able to exit from all sides of the burner in the same streams. Dirt will hinder this.
Of course, more often than not, the pollution gradually ignites and the obstacle to the gas jet disappears. But the smell will not please you. And if blockages form on all sides of the burner at the same time, it will interfere with the normal operation of the equipment.
That is, it is much easier to clean regularly than to deal with the problem later.
How to clean
To be able to perform the procedure without difficulty, you should choose the right care products. This will also save you from unpleasant consequences when the substances used interact with gas and when heated.
For cleaning the burners are removed from the gas stove. Gas access is preliminarily blocked. A window or window in the kitchen is opened to provide fresh air.
Important! When processing burners, it is not recommended to use sharp objects (knife, scissors, scrapers), brushes, abrasive cleaning agents.
What to clean
The hostess will always find something to clean the gas equipment.
Household chemicals for the stove
On sale you can find special products produced for the care of gas stoves.
Provided that the instructions are strictly followed, their use is safe and effective.
You don't have to buy special substances, but get by with the means that you already have in you.
Dishwashing liquid
If you use liquid dishwashing detergents, feel free to use them to clean the burners as well. Only washing them will be different from other kitchen utensils. The cooking zones will need to be soaked..
Reference. To obtain a solution, you will need warm water (2 liters) and liquid dish detergent (4 tbsp. l.).
The cleaning procedure is simple. Parts of gas equipment are immersed in a container with a prepared solution. The exposure time of the agent is 2 hours. Then the burners are wiped with a sponge, washed thoroughly so that there is no solution left. Finally, wipe dry.
Soda
If your hands haven't reached the burners for a long time and you find stubborn dirt, baking soda will help. You should not rub a dry burner with it - it will not help.
- The burner is washed with a lathered sponge in warm water. Dust and surface contamination can be easily washed off.
- Soda is mixed with a small amount of water to obtain a slurry.
- Apply baking soda to the burner.
- After half an hour, clean the burner with a sponge or rag.
Advice. For effective cleaning, use an old toothbrush to speed up the procedure.
The burner is thoroughly washed and dried. After that, the part can be returned to the plate again.
Vinegar
The use of vinegar also gives good results.
- The burners are soaked for 30 minutes in a solution of boiling water (1 liter) and vinegar (0.5 cups). You can take cold water for the solution. In this case, the proportions are as follows: cold water (200 ml), vinegar (2 tbsp. l.).
- After exposure to vinegar, the burners are washed in warm water.
- Wipe off and remove residual moisture with paper or cloth towels, air dry.
Ammonia
The ammonia solution is applied to the burner surface and left for 20 minutes. Then the ammonia is washed off with water and dried.
Lemon acid
Another way to prepare a solution for processing: room temperature water (1 cup) and citric acid (1 tbsp. l.). The solution is applied to the part and left for 15 minutes. Then washed and dried.
Important! After removing the burner cover, the hostesses sometimes see that the nozzle under it is also dirty. It also needs processing.
Some risky ladies try to clean it with a sharp object (needle, toothpick, knitting needle). We don’t think this is a solution. Better to call a specialist.
And now you know how to keep the burners clean in the future.
