Carpet is a soft and fluffy roll material for covering the floor entirely in one room. It can be monophonic, with a small repeating or finished pattern. Due to the relatively low price and ease of installation, it has recently been widely used in the decoration of residential premises and offices.

Types and characteristics
The carpet is divided into woven - natural, tufted and needle-punched.
Woven carpet is the most durable and most expensive type of material, as it is made in the same way as carpets. And the basis of it is natural - jute, in the form of a grid.

Tufting - with this method, a thread is driven into the base with a needle and fixed with a special adhesive composition. Due to the fact that this type of coating has a very wide selection of varieties of pile and a fairly low price, it is very popular today.

Loop carpets have high wear resistance due to the rigid base. In addition, due to the loop fastening, their surface is also hard.
The thread is used pre-dyed. This type of carpet can be either single-level or multi-level, in which the hinges are located at different heights. This gives the coating a three-dimensional appearance, a special effect, however, and creates additional difficulties when cleaning.

Pile carpet can be produced with short, medium and long pile - more than 5 mm. This allows you to use it in rooms for various purposes. For example, a long pile covering is perfect for a bedroom, and a short one for a corridor.

Needle-punched carpet has the highest wear resistance due to the unusual manufacturing.
The fibers are superimposed on the base and processed with special needles, due to which there is a dense and rigid adhesion of the fibers to the base. Then the coating is hardened with a rubber substrate and pressed. The highest strength and wear resistance of the resulting coating allows it to be used in rooms where a large number of people pass. However, it is rarely used for apartments, because despite the lowest price, it does not cause pleasant feelings when walking barefoot.

Types of installation
There are three main ways to lay carpet. The first way is installation without gluing to the floor. In this way, the carpet is laid in small rooms and fastened with a metal rail.

The second method is gluing without bonding - the coating is laid on special glue. And the third way is simultaneous bonding with the joint. The name of this method speaks for itself - the carpet is simultaneously glued and additionally fastened with a rail.

The only difference is that initially the sheets are overlapped and then trimmed. In addition to these three main methods, there is another way of laying carpet. This is a rare method - stretching. It consists in the fact that slats are attached along the walls. Nails are driven into the slats at an angle. The specialist puts a carpet on these rails and pulls. A substrate is placed underneath the coating to give softness to the carpet. However, this method is rarely used, as it requires professional skills and the use of special tools.
