But fabric ceilings lend themselves to coloring, as they have a reinforcing element in their composition - a polymer component. And the fabric in the composition is responsible for high adhesion with paints and varnishes. In addition, such a ceiling does not have elasticity, so it will not be able to sag under the weight of the paint.

Painting technology

The best option for paint on a fabric ceiling is a latex based composition. It gives coating viscosity and good adhesion to the material. An alternative to latex can be a high-quality aqueous emulsion composition. White is usually bought color, where color is added if necessary.

For uniform and thin application of paint it is necessary to use a spray gun. A brush and a roller will leave stains, in addition, neat layers will not work when working with them.

Before painting, the entire surface of the ceiling is cleaned of dust, grease stains and other contaminants. Do this with a very soft sponge and weakly concentrated soap solutions. There should be no drafts in the room, so that before work all windows and doors are tightly closed. The windows are curtained with fabric.
