Today, almost any facade of a private house, from whatever material it was built, needs additional insulation. Otherwise, living in a house will not be very comfortable, and heating bills will constantly grow. You can do without insulation if the house is assembled from factory SIP panels that already contain insulation. But this construction technology has not yet been widely adopted in the private sector.

A very warm house can be built using proven materials: adobe, reeds, clay, wood. These are environmentally friendly components, which also perfectly keep heat. Several decades ago they were used very widely. Now, although the fashion for them is returning, they are still not chosen so often.

Basically, houses and cottages are built of brick, various types of blocks. These materials themselves are very cold, so the facade must be insulated from the outside, and then plastered or finished with siding. As a rule, as heaters are used:
- Glass wool;
- Mineral wool;
- Styrofoam;
- Ecowool
- Expanded polystyrene;
- Teplover;
- Liquid ceramic insulation.

Advantages of facade insulation
Each of these materials has its own characteristics, but there is one general principle of insulation: a heat insulator is placed on the outer wall of the building. Such insulation allows you to create a number of advantages:
- The house quickly warms up and retains heat for a long time;
- The dew point is located outside, which prevents condensation from accumulating and spoiling the internal walls;
- It is possible to simultaneously carry out insulation and repairs inside the house;
- Walls isolated from the effects of the external environment last longer;
- Such insulation can be done by yourself.

Cons insulation from the inside
Internal insulation, on the contrary, has a number of significant drawbacks that make it necessary to abandon this method:
- Incorrect dew point;
- At night, the house cools quickly;
- While warming is carried out in the house you can not live;
- Insulation takes up part of the area of the rooms;
- Requires additional ventilation;
- Fungus and mold may appear in the rooms.

So it is better to insulate any facade immediately during construction, so as not to return to this issue later. But if the house is old and cold, it also needs to be additionally insulated by making appropriate repairs. At the same time, you need to carefully approach the choice of insulation material, it is advisable to carry out the necessary calculations or to address this issue to specialists.
