The table is a special place in the kitchen. Often, the whole family gathers here for a meal, conversations are conducted, and is also used for cooking if the kitchen space is small. To select a table for the kitchen you need to consider the criteria below.

Table size
For a comfortable placement, you need to choose a size so that you can easily sit behind it, and at the same time there is free space for movement. According to the recommendations, for one person at the table there should be a space of the dining area of at least 40x60 cm, and in the middle there should be space for serving items. It is better to choose a table width of at least 85 cm, otherwise it will be uncomfortable, and the length can be adjusted according to the desire and number of people.

Which form to choose
Form can be limited only by imagination. Basically, choose tables of square and rectangular shape, oval or round.

Square ones are the most common and are considered the most spacious, very space saving, ideal for small kitchens. Such a table comfortably accommodates from 2 to 4 people, if you choose a larger table in size, then 8 people can easily accommodate.
A classic option is a rectangular table. It can be placed both in the center and near the wall.

Most tables are equipped with convenient mechanisms for spreading tables, there are many options for tables-transformers. This allows you to turn a small table into a wide one for large festivities.

Round tables are popular. Due to their shape, a large number of people can fit behind them, in addition, they are considered safer for children, due to the absence of sharp corners. Such tables will look good in large kitchens, since in a limited space it can’t be harmoniously placed against the wall.

For small kitchens, the option of semicircular shapes is suitable - then the table will easily become along the wall and sharp protrusions can be avoided.
The oval shape combines the advantages of round and rectangular tables - the absence of corners and the ability to place a large number of people.

Table in a small kitchen
Based on the foregoing, we can conclude that for a small kitchen, the best option would be a semicircular or square table. They also offer to consider a folding table screwed to the wall. The table lid rises, and after use it is lowered to its previous position.

Table in the large kitchen
A large kitchen does not limit the choice of shape and place, but it is better to choose a large roomy table, since a small one can simply get lost in space. The choice should be made in the direction of rectangular shapes and oval tables, complementing them with beautiful chairs, placed in the center, or, in the presence of a kitchen island, closer to the wall.

The dining table should not only correspond to the size of the kitchen, but be comfortable, fit into the interior of the room, and be durable and practical. Then all the household members will be happy to spend time at family dinners and receive guests.
