Weld crack

Welding seam - the place of connection of horizontal and vertical parts of the frame and window sash. It is formed on the welding machine by melting the ends of the workpieces with subsequent compression until solidification and the formation of a monolithic angle.

If the seam is not durable, it can be broken even from a small load. From pressure on the angle with a glazing bead, during the installation of the frame in the opening or simply burst in the cold.After that, the integrity of the structure is violated, the angle at this point loses rigidity and the specified geometry.

This leads to unpleasant consequences:

1. The tightness and strength of the window is broken;

In the morning, before work begins and in the evening after graduation, control angles are welded, then they are broken in a special way and the result of a fault along the seam is analyzed. This approach indicates a serious attitude of the manufacturer to the quality of its products.

Violation of the overall dimensions of the sash

Sash - the movable part of the window. It must have accurate overall dimensions. This is necessary for the correct operation of the fittings and to achieve the necessary tightness when locking. What does it mean? The "window" has terms - false backlash and overlap.

Falzluft is the space between the frame and the closed sash. It is necessary for the free movement of the moving parts of the furniture mechanism. If the sash dimensions are increased by at least 2 millimeters, then the fold backlash will also decrease by 2 millimeters. The adjustment range of the fittings is approximately 2 millimeters. Such a case is deprived of the possibility of regulation, and the fittings can simply jam.

The overlap is the area where the sash fits to the frame with the part on which the seal is stretched. The overlap width is eight millimeters. If the sash dimensions are reduced by the same 2 millimeters, when it is closed, the seal will not be pressed against the abutment area with the entire width, but only partly. Leakage is broken. Blowing and freezing provided. If the sash dimensions are increased by 2 millimeters, you can also forget about the adjustment, and the fittings can also jam.

Independent sash control

With a simple pencil, mark on the frame the border of the fit of the closed sash. A fairly small line. In corners in width and height. Then, we open it and measure the width of the fit from the edge of the frame to the mark with a tape measure. Ideally, you should get 8 millimeters. Valid 7 or 9 millimeters. Less than 7 or more than 9 millimeters is a marriage. Sash dimensions critically changed.
