Usually, such building materials as tiles, plastic, decorative or natural stone and other similar materials are used to decorate the walls and ceiling of a bathroom. But, taking into account the peculiarity of the bathroom - high humidity and frequent temperature drops - then instead of the indicated standard materials for wall decoration, you can choose the appropriate wallpaper that will be used enough long.

In addition, pasting a bathroom with a wallpaper is much cheaper, easier to work, unlike tiles or plastic.
Ordinary paper wallpaper for the bathroom will naturally not work, but there are other types of wallpaper that can be used in rooms with high humidity:
- Vinyl wallpaper - these wallpapers are made of paper, but the surface is covered with polymer, which allows to increase the density of the wallpaper and their resistance to external factors. It is impossible to stick vinyl wallpaper on ordinary wallpaper glue, therefore, it is first necessary to purchase special adhesive composition.
The advantages of vinyl wallpaper include strength, elasticity, resistance to moisture, a wide selection of color shades when buying. Along with this, vinyl wallpapers have a significant drawback for the bathroom: despite the resistance to moisture, vinyl wallpapers are not very “fond” of too high temperatures, at which there is a high probability of their detaching from the walls. In addition, working with vinyl wallpapers is not easy.
A separate type of vinyl wallpaper is a self-adhesive wallpaper. Glue for such wallpapers does not need to be bought separately, it is enough just to lower the prepared canvas into hot water to swell the glue and stick it to the prepared wall; - Liquid wallpaper - externally liquid wallpaper is similar to plaster. Unlike other types of wallpaper, liquid wallpapers are applied with a spatula. After the walls are covered with liquid wallpaper and completely dry, the wallpaper must be covered water-repellent mixture (you can do with ordinary varnish), otherwise the slightest hit of water can ruin the whole work;
- Cullets - this type of wallpaper is absolutely not afraid of moisture, refractory, not prone to rapid fading. But working with such wallpapers requires some skills and is longer. If the working surface has only minor minor defects, then it is enough to cover it with a primer, and then you can proceed with gluing.

The main difference in working with such wallpapers is that the glue is applied only to the wall and the wallpaper should be instantly glued to the wall. The glued-on cullets are coated either with a primer or with glue and, after drying, are coated with paint in two layers, every other day between each (the base of the paint may be latex or polyurethane).
Since we are talking about wallpapering the bathroom, the color of the selected wallpaper should be light (for example, white, blue, beige or use combinations of these colors).
Choosing the right color is not difficult, since the types of wallpaper listed above have a very wide range of color choices.
