Of course, there is no desire to make another hole, especially if the hole was drilled on a fine finish. How to be in such a situation, and how to solve the problem? How to secure the dowel?

At the moment, experts have several thoughts about this, which in practice are used quite often in connection with effectiveness.

1. Using a repair wipe. Here we are talking about a special material that you need to wrap the dowel and place in the hole. But first, the napkin is best wetted and inserted into the slot. Further, it is already possible to insert a screw, self-tapping screw or any other fastening element.
2. The use of a two-component composition. This is a special kind of glue, which contains styrene and polyurethane. Both components are environmentally friendly and harmless to humans.

If with a napkin everything is extremely simple and understandable, then with a two-component composition various kinds of questions may arise. The algorithm of actions during the work is as follows:

1. It is necessary to remove the protective cap.
2. Screw the extension cord into place of the cap.
3. A little composition is squeezed onto the paper.
4. An extension cord with a syringe is attached to the hole, and the glue is squeezed out until the gap is completely filled.
5. It is best to wait a while for the composition to dry out. In practice, 5 minutes is enough, and an additional feature is that the dowel is no longer needed at all, you can screw a self-tapping screw.
6. If the dowel entered the hole, but was not securely fastened, then the extension cord should be inserted into the dowel itself and filled. But you need to screw the screw very carefully.

You can also use a special wooden chopik, the diameter of which coincides with the diameter of the hole. A wooden base is driven into the hole and then a screw is screwed into it. It is also a reliable and durable material, but it is better to use dry wood. Otherwise, the chopper will dry out after a while and may not be securely held in the hole.
