If a conventional air conditioner does not require any special skills during installation, only a specialist can install a split system. If a channel apparatus is used, then it will be necessary to lay not only communications that connect the external and internal unit, but also air ducts. Thus, the scale of the work increases, as well as their cost.
In addition, the split system is stationary. An ordinary air conditioner can be completely safely moved, there is no such possibility.
