The heart of any home is home wiring. It must be safe and reliable, the needs of electrical devices must be fully provided. There are several typical mistakes that are made during wiring. Each of them can cause negative consequences.

The first problems are often laid during the preparation of the project for the supply of electric energy. Often loads are not calculated correctly. The safety of future operation of all equipment in this case depends on this stage. It is necessary to take into account the simultaneous use of all appliances in the house. Inconvenience will arise if the equipment has to be used alternately or extension cords are needed. The load from electrical appliances is gradually growing, since new devices appear in most apartments often, so the reserve for them should be made sure.

The second mistake is ignoring the power limit. The contract for the provision of electricity supplies indicates a certain amount of power. This is controlled by limiters or circuit breakers.
It is worth remembering that in the future the power limit may be increased, so the wiring should be calculated with this in mind.
The third mistake is the wrong choice of power option for sockets and lighting fixtures. It is impossible to use one line for this today. Junction boxes and one line were suitable for organizing power supply twenty to thirty years ago, since then the loads were much less. Today the situation has changed dramatically.

Separate lines are best provided not only for each room, but also for some devices that require especially a lot of energy.
Professionals do not recommend using junction contact connections in junction boxes, as they usually become the weakest point in electrical wiring. This type of contact can be damaged when current flows. The terminal blocks must be used as reliable as possible. Better yet, connect the conductors by welding or soldering.

The fifth error may occur when choosing protection devices and cable cross-section. It is better to take the cross-section and power of devices with a margin. Three-core cable must be used in a single-phase network, which is present in most residential apartments. If there is no grounding conductor in the switchboard, it is still impossible to lay a two-wire cable, since it is necessary to ground the wiring.
