The prices of consumables for construction are growing constantly and significantly, so any person tries to calculate in advance, as accurately as possible, how much volume or quantity of something will be needed. Cement is no exception. Usually, it is important for builders to find out how much ready-made solution will be obtained from the dry mix.

Calculation technology

The final amount of concrete depends on several variables, so the exact calculation is very difficult to obtain.

It is necessary to take into account the brand of concrete, the brand of cement, how fresh the cement is, the total weight of the dry mix is ​​20 or 50 kg. Next, we will consider the most general case with the following input data: the most popular concrete grade is M200, cement grade is M400, the weight of the mixture is 50 kg, the freshness of cement is the freshest.

During calculations with this data, some assumptions must be made:

• In the selected composition, the following components are taken in parts: one cement, 2.8 sand, 4.8 gravel, 1 \ 2 amount of water of the total mass of cement;

• One cubic meter of concrete M200 has a weight of 2400 kg.

Next, you need 240 kg of crushed stone and 25 kg of water.

After all the components are summed up, a final number is obtained, which indicates how much concrete of the selected grade will be obtained from 50 kg of cement. Total 455 kg. Then, kilograms are converted into cubic meters, since it is these values ​​that are used to operate in the design of buildings. To find out this value, you need to multiply the total weight by one cubic meter, and then divide by the mass of the cubic meter. The final value is 0.189 m3.

Thus, for other concrete grades, namely for M100, M300 or 400, it is quite easy to calculate the volumes. The weight of the cement mixture is a constant value, and sand, gravel and water are variable. Knowing the required number of these variables for each brand, it is easy to calculate new values ​​using the same formulas.
