Hedgerow can be an excellent alternative to a dull and boring fence, ennobled the site and giving it a well-groomed, habitable look. In addition to external aesthetics, a hedge is able to protect the inhabitants of the house or cottage from excess noise and absorb a large amount of dust.

As a rule, to create a hedge, there are many trees and shrubs, but if you want to build it "right here and now" it is necessary to make a choice in favor of fast-growing ones, which, unfortunately, are not so many, but nevertheless, such rocks are capable of reaching a meter heights per year!

The main fast-growing breeds:

• Robinia pseudoacacia - is a rather heat-loving breed, can not transfer too much cold winter, but it practically does not need moisture, and in a year it can reach a height of one and a half meters. Having planted such a “living fence”, it will be possible to enjoy the fragrant flowers of robinia for a long period of the summer season;
• Balsam poplar is a rather large tree, and if you do not follow its pruning in time, then it can reach thirty meters in height, the growth is quite rapid compared to other counterparts - up to eighty centimeters in year. Poplar is a very unpretentious crop, does not require additional watering, tolerates winter well;

• Willow - tolerates waterlogged soil well, moreover, with the help of the root system it is able to strengthen the soil around itself for many meters. The root system is close enough to the surface, this fact should be taken into account when planting willow next to other crops, for example fruit. Growth is added up to eighty centimeters per year;
• Spruce adds a little over fifty centimeters in growth over the year. If you approach the pruning of spruce at the right height, you get a fairly fluffy hedge that can protect the site from gusts of wind.

It should be borne in mind that building a hedge on a site does not work out quickly, even using fast-growing varieties of trees and shrubs. A lot of time will be spent on giving the desired shape, as well as for thickening the future crown. Naturally, spending time once, this will not be enough, plants will require appropriate care and timely pruning, otherwise the hedge will quickly turn into ordinary bushes.

If, nevertheless, the gardener decided to create such a project and would spare no time or effort, then the result will definitely be positive, and joy will be experienced for many years.
