Almost from the moment our family was born, we started renovating the kitchen. It would seem that there can be romantic. But the joint purchase of a kitchen led to rather unexpected consequences.

It should be noted that our budget was not just small. There was practically no financial opportunity to invest in repairs. We spent all the money donated for the wedding on arranging our nest. And they did not lose, at the same time they received not only a beautiful and comfortable kitchen, but also an excellent opportunity to get to know each other even closer. After all, joint creative work brings people together very much, tests and strengthens relationships.
Even in my student years, I saw the Black Kitchen set in the furniture salon, and just fell in love with it. Bright, like the name, stylish, comfortable, but very expensive. We could not afford luxurious furniture. We hoped to find in our provincial town at least some worthy replacement for my dream, but all in vain.
Even by the most conservative estimates, high-quality furniture made from natural materials was expensive. And I didn't want to buy more modest headsets made of chipboard, MDF or plastic. We were almost desperate to find a worthy option, and were ready to have lunch and dinner on the windowsill, when my husband came up with the idea to order furniture in Ukraine.
This country is famous for its craftsmen who are ready to create a unique set for an affordable price. Among the proposals we found an excellent specialist who would agree to implement our wishes, he would offer to make oak furniture for only 160,000 rubles, including installation, and we agreed.
When the headset was almost ready, a new threat to our dream arose. It turned out that it is quite problematic and expensive to transport furniture through customs. We were not happy with the innovations in duties, but we didn’t give up on the idea of getting what we wanted. This time, parents helped.
Our honeymoon trip, as we joke now, took place. We have traveled to Chernihiv twice, and transported the headset in parts, as separate components. This is a historic milestone of our family, a kind of adventure that united two families, which ended very successfully. We got what we wanted.
Household appliances were selected taking into account the peculiarities of the interior. We tried to make it fit organically into the created ensemble, and we managed to do it. Kitchen appliances were brought to us by passing transport from Moscow.
The joint renovation is our first small victory. Beautiful, stylish, comfortable and functional kitchen makes us happy every day more and more. Aesthetics and practicality are two prerequisites that make up perfection. Natural wood always remains in trend, and we expect that this kitchen will celebrate at least a silver wedding!
The idea of saving money on the purchase of furniture, and then on its delivery, I think, will come in handy for many young families with a limited budget. And the solution of difficulties only strengthens the relationship and has a favorable effect on family happiness, I am now sure of this.
Speaking about the financial side of the issue, a little more than 130 thousand rubles were spent on repairs, not counting the kitchen set. Most of the budget was "eaten" by the purchase of household appliances. It is impossible to accurately determine the cost of finishing work, since we were simultaneously doing repairs in the rest of the apartment.
The interior of the kitchen turned out to be laconic and elegant, thanks to the black color. Do not be afraid to experiment, this color is great for a spacious room. Of course, in a space with a small square, it should not be used. In our kitchen, in my opinion, the balance between light and dark colors is quite clearly observed, so it is pleasant and comfortable to be here!
