Electric hood for bathroom and toilet: which one is better to choose? – Setafi

The hood for the bath and toilet should have a good performance (90-110 cubic meters per 1 hour) and at the same time consume not so much energy (about 14-18 W). Another important parameter is the noise level: the lower the better. Not every device meets all of these requirements. The article discusses models that are optimally suited for almost any bath and at the same time are affordable.

ERAFLOW 4BB

This electric hood for the bathroom is distinguished by an affordable price and a fairly high quality. When choosing, you should pay attention to this model or others marked "BB". All of them have ball bearings. And although sleeve devices are much cheaper, they are less reliable.

The engine of this fan has a power of 14 W, which makes it possible to process air with a volume of more than 100 m3 in 1 hour. The noise level is low - 35 dB. The device is equipped with a check valve. There is only one significant drawback - the case is plastic, it is inexpensive, but not so reliable.

Dospel Rico 100S

Electric hood – Dospel RicoAnother inexpensive electric hood for the bathroom and toilet, developing a power of 15 W and a capacity of about 100 m3 per hour. The noise level is within 40 dB, which is quite normal.

It is worth considering that the device develops pressure up to 35 Pa, and this is not enough for old, heavily clogged ventilation. But if the channels are regularly cleaned by the management company or the owners of the house themselves, the device is quite suitable.

Of the minuses, we can single out the fact that this electric hood in the bathroom does not have a check valve. In addition, the plastic is quite thin, care must be taken during installation.

Soler & Palau DECOR CHZ 100

Electric hood – Soler & Palau

Sufficiently powerful electric hood for the toilet, pumping 95 cubic meters of air in 1 hour. The power indicator is 13 W, while the engine is gaining more than 2000 revolutions per minute.

This bathroom and toilet ceiling hood has several advantages;

  • there is a forced switch input;
  • quality assembly, reliability;
  • the presence of a hygrostat and a timer, which can be configured at your discretion.

However, it should be taken into account that the noise level reaches 40 dB. This figure is within the acceptable range, but the measurement was taken at a distance of 1.5 m. If the bath is too small, the sound may seem quite strong.

Electrolux EAFM-100TH

Hood – Electrolux

If we talk about which hood to put in the bathroom in terms of price and quality, we can single out this particular model. It consumes only 15 W and at the same time pumps almost 100 m3 of air volume in 1 hour.

The intake of flows is carried out from the sides, since the front is "deaf". Externally, the device looks aesthetically pleasing, since there is no "hole" in the wall. Another plus is the presence of a timer that allows you to set the time of work and shutdown.

There is also an input with which the device is turned on forcibly. The unit has a humidistat that can be adjusted over a wide range. But the noise level is quite high.

Blauberg Aero 100SH

Hood – Blauberg Aero

This toilet room hood is of reasonable price and good quality. It pumps more than 100 cubic meters of air in 1 hour, while consuming only 14 watts. Noise is within the acceptable range - 38 dBa, that is, acoustic decibels. This is an indicator that demonstrates the power of sound not in general, but in the perception of the human ear.

The unit has a timer and a humidistat. The chip that controls them is mounted in the central part from below (under the panel that goes in front). Among the advantages can be listed:

  • reliable motor on ball bearings;
  • noise within the normal range;
  • can be forced;
  • There is a humidistat and a timer.

There is only one significant drawback - the board is not reliable enough. This must be taken into account when installing the device.

A mini-hood for a toilet should be productive and at the same time moderately noisy. Reliability is no less important - it is better to choose devices on ball bearings. As for the price, it should not be among the first criteria. In fact, it is better to overpay a moderate amount than to buy unreliable devices from little-known manufacturers.
