Recently, a very brilliant idea came to me. There are a lot of heating devices in stores: yes, they are good, you can’t say anything, but even for a simple electric model, the price is sometimes too high. Therefore, we take everything that came to hand, and start tinkering!
In this article, we will tell you how to heat an entire room with just a small candle! Sit back and let the excursion into the world of needlework begin!

Candle heater - fiction or reality?
We will immediately dispel the fact that making such equipment is a senseless and unnecessary undertaking for a simple layman. Not at all! Even if a Californian inventor came up with such a thing as a "candle heater", then why not repeat such a little thing after him? In addition, the fire is really enough to get heat into the room.
A candle stove is rather strange in design, but, as the American inventor claims, it will completely save in a critical situation (for example, when the power goes out). But in winter, do not even hope that a heater made of ceramic pots will somehow save you. Yes, yes, it didn’t seem to you - it was from pots!
In appearance, a candle heater for a room resembles an inverted flower pot, under which a candle is located. Inside the pot, the main system for creating heat is hidden.
The pot in the design is not one, there are several of them at once. Traditionally, a clay pot heater combines 3 "caps" of different sizes, connected with a bunch of washers and a bolt. Holes in the bottom of clay utensils have long been invented, so drilling is not required.
Such a "stray" even has a special name - Quad-Core and works on the principle of "luring" heat from a candle into a ceramic trap. You, of course, ask: "Why?". Let's talk further.
The principle of operation of the heater from pots and candles
The flame source itself, due to its tiny size, produces very little heat. The whole problem is that the heat rises and simply dissolves in the abyss of the atmosphere of the room, without particularly heating it.
You may be surprised, but the reserve of thermal energy of an ordinary wax candle is enough to create a full-fledged heating. This is because only a small part of the energy goes into creating a beam of light, and the rest is a thermal charge. He is exactly what we need.
A heater made of a candle and ceramic pots in the form of a multi-level cap collects all the thermal energy and accumulates it by heating its walls (the central pot is especially hot). The heat is then transferred from one "radiator" to another, heating nearby objects and the air. Also, potted "tanks" capture all the soot from the wick, so everything around is clean and safe - an ideal indoor solution.

How to make a heater from clay pots with your own hands
We will analyze everything point by point, so that later there are no problems.
Accessories
To exactly repeat the candle stove, as is done in America, you will need:
- 3 fired clay pots. All of them should be of different diameters so that one hides under the other (according to the "matryoshka" pattern).
- Metal rod with thread.
- Nuts and washers (you can’t count the exact amount, take it according to the “more is better” principle).
How to make a candle heater
After we went to the store for everything we need, we begin to work:
- With a drill, make a hole in the bottom of each pot for a metal rod (if the pot is already with a hole, skip the point);
- We pass the largest clay vessel through the thread and fasten it with a nut on top;
- We put several washers inside;
- Similarly, we connect the second and third pots;
- Place the top knob over the candle. The flame should be right under our metal tube.
To create a base, you can go in several ways: just take 2 bricks or come up with something yourself. For example, you can make such a platform (a lot of equipment will come in handy, which may not be):
- flat metal corners (used for window frames);
- strong cord or harness;
- welding machine and drill.
Base assembly
Let's work with welding: weld the corners at 120 degrees relative to each other. The edges should be located like this: large - at the top, small - inside. We make small holes on top of large ones.
We insert a cord or tourniquet into the resulting slots in such a way that a triangle is obtained. We install a candle oven on the resulting platform.
Now it only remains to find a larger candle and start testing an impromptu heating system. A do-it-yourself candle heater will brighten up winter evenings and add extra comfort to the room. All you need is a couple of pots and a candle.
