If you are planning to move, repair or replace the air conditioner, then read the step-by-step instructions below on how to remove the air conditioner / split system from the wall. Before you start, keep in mind that there are many nuances in the process. They depend on the situation where and how the device is installed, as well as on the model of the air conditioner. It is recommended to dismantle the device together with a partner. If you are not sure that you can remove the unit from the wall yourself, use the services of professionals.

Step 1. Take the remote control and turn on the air conditioner in cooling mode at the minimum temperature (turn on only when the outside air temperature is positive). Wait for the compressor in the outdoor unit to start. When the compressor starts, cold air will come out of the air conditioner and noise will be heard.
Step 2After starting the compressor, open both plugs with a wrench. They are on the side of the block. Then pump the freon inside. To do this, take the hexagon and close the tap on the thin tube until it stops (turn clockwise). After about a minute, do the same on the larger diameter tube.
Step 3Turn off the air conditioner and install the plugs. First, on the tap of a tube of a smaller diameter, after a larger one.
Step 4Cut off the tubes. They are made of heat-resistant copper and covered with a layer of foam rubber for thermal insulation, so use metal shears.
Step 5Disconnect the device from the power supply.
Step 6 Dismantling the indoor unit of the air conditioner. First, detach the indoor unit from the wall. There is a gap at the bottom of the device between the wall and the device itself. There are latches of the plate that holds the device. To disconnect the air conditioner from it, use a hex wrench.

Step 7 Disable device communications. Take all the same scissors for metal and cut off the drain tube, power wires and the inter-block route (copper tubes in foam rubber). The tubes of the indoor and outdoor units (interblock route) are connected with special nuts. To disconnect them, cut the pipes about 10 cm away from the nuts towards the outdoor unit.
Step 8Raise the block. It should rise without much effort. If not, check if you did everything right.
Step 9 Detach the plate from the wall. Loosen the plate screws with a screwdriver. Then install it back - in the removed block.
Step 10 Removing the outdoor unit. Unscrew the fasteners of the block with a wrench and remove it from the bracket. Then detach the bracket from the wall. To do this, use a ratchet key.
The dismantling of the air conditioner (split system) is completed. In order not to lose components, put everything in the box along with the remote control.
