For the manufacture of crafts you will need:

  • A base of foam, plastic or floristic foam in the form of a ball or other desired shape;
  • The trunk (a straight twig of a tree, a pencil or any other small stick);
  • Decorative elements for creating the crown: coffee beans, artificial flowers, cones, colored beans, etc .;
  • Decor for masking the pot filler, for example, moss, pebbles or sisal fiber;
  • Flower pot;
  • Filler for the pot, which will fix the barrel. For example, a cement slurry, the same foam or alabaster (the best option) will work;
  • Thermo-adhesive in the gun;
  • If necessary, you need paint to decorate the trunk, stem or pot. Also, the trunk can be decorated with ribbon or twine.

Basic instruction:

  1. To begin with, it is desirable to paint the base in the color of the crown elements, so that possible bald spots are not noticeable. You can also paint the barrel and pot and leave them to dry.
  2. Cut in the base of the crown hole for a trunk depth of a couple of centimeters, fill it with glue and fix the barrel.
  3. Take the base of the crown and start piece by piece the decorative details. The principle of action at this stage is simple: first large parts are glued, then middle and, finally, small elements fill the bald spots. Glue the decor quickly, until the glue is absorbed into the substrate.
  4. Dilute the mixture to fix the trunk in the pot according to the manufacturer's instructions and fill it with a pot, not reaching a couple of centimeters to the edge. Then insert the trunk, hold it a little and then leave to dry for a day.
  5. Mask the filling of the pot with a decorative "cover" (you can fix it a little on the glue).

The idea 8. Universal knife holder

The knife stand is a very useful device for the kitchen, which helps keep the workspace in order and longer to maintain the sharpness of the blade blades.

Make the knife holder by your own hands very easy - just pick up a small vase and tightly fill it with bamboo / wooden skewers, colored beans or... colored spaghetti, as in our master class.

To make a knife stand, prepare:

  • The container or vase is the height of the blade of your biggest knife. The shape of the container can be any, but without any bends;
  • Spaghetti, a lot of spaghetti;
  • Several packages of ziplok of a large size (or simply large packages that can be tightly tied into a knot);
  • Alcohol (for example, vodka);
  • Liquid food coloring of the desired color (or several dyes if you want to make a multi-color filling);
  • Opposites;
  • Aluminum foil or old oilcloth tablecloth;
  • Paper towels;
  • Kitchen scissors.

Instruction:

  1. Make sure your container is clean and dry, then tightly fill it with spaghetti. When the container is full, pull out the spaghetti and add to it a couple more bunches of pasta in reserve (in case of replenishing broken sticks).
  2. Spread evenly the spaghetti into packages and pour in them as much alcohol as possible so that it can moisten all the sticks. Next, add 10-40 drops of food coloring to each package.

  1. Seal or tie up your bags, then put them in extra packages to avoid leaks. Slowly shake and turn over the bags to mix the dye with alcohol and pasta. Then put the package on one side and leave for 30 minutes, then turn the package over again and leave it for another half an hour. Continue to soak the spaghetti in this way (but not more than 3 hours) until they get the desired shade.
  2. Cover your baking tray with aluminum foil, then a layer of paper towels (or oilcloth). To protect your hands from dyeing, it is advisable to wear gloves. Remove the spaghetti from the bags, having drained all the liquid, place them on a baking sheet in one layer and leave to dry. From time to time, spaghetti should be picked for uniform drying.

  1. Once your spaghetti is completely dry, start putting them in a container.
  2. Shake the filled container and smooth the spaghetti. Insert your knives to determine the optimum filling density, add macaroni, if necessary, or remove excess.
  3. Now use kitchen scissors or other very sharp scissors to cut the spaghetti to the desired length without removing them from the container (it's best to do this over the sink). It is important that the spaghetti does not exceed the height of the container by more than 2-3 cm, otherwise they will quickly break down.

The idea 9. Jars for storage of spices and loose products

When there are not enough storage space in the kitchen, the bottom of the cabinet and several glass jars with tin lids help you out. Depending on the volume of cans, they can store spices, cereals, sugar, salt or any small items.

  2. Screw the covers to the underside of the enclosure with screws. It is best to choose the closet closest to the stove and work area.
  3. Fill the cans and screw them to the covers. Voila, the organizer is ready!

The idea 10. Storage basket

Baskets in the house are never a lot, because they are so cute and help to organize the storage system more rationally. Fortunately, you can make baskets with your own hands from newspaper tubes or just sheets of paper. At that, paper baskets can be very strong and practically not differ from baskets woven from rattan. Perhaps, this is one of the best ideas for crafts for the home and the kitchen from improvised materials.

How to make such a basket for storing your own little things yourself read in our step-by-step master class.

Today we will tell you about the express technique of making a basket made of paper, which can be used to store trifles (keys, stationery), yarn, as well as for the unusual supply of fruits, Easter eggs, bread or bakery to a festive table or gift.

To weave such baskets, even a child can quickly and easily

You will need:

  • About 15 sheets of thin paper A3, cut halfway along the sheets (this could be printer paper, a newspaper sheet in full spread and even baking paper);
  • A container of suitable size with straight walls (for example, jam jar);
  • Glue in the stick;
  • One skewer;
  • Paint in can (if desired).

Instruction:

  1. Starting from one corner, start tightly-tightly folding a piece of paper around the skewer to a diagonally opposite angle, to make a smooth and long tube. When the tube is ready, add a few smears of adhesive to the corner of the paper to fix it in place and pull out the skewer. Do the same with all the remaining sheets. In this master class, the weaving of 2 baskets required 30 tubes.
  2. If necessary (for example, if you used newspaper sheets) or if you wish, paint the tubes with acrylic paint.
  3. Take an even number of tubes and connect them together as shown in the photo in the upper left corner. In this master class, for a basket the size of a jam jar, 6 tubes were required, for a basket larger - 8 tubes.

  1. Start the weaving: take one of the outer tubes (which is under the grate), and lay it over the next tube, then let it go under the next tube, then again release the tube over the next tube, etc. Continue the weaving by lifting the already wrapped tubes vertically (now these tubes will be called counters).
  2. When 2-3 cm from the first working tube, increase its length. To do this, apply glue to the new tube and insert it into the remaining "tail". Continue to weave again and again, adding paper tubes as needed.
  3. As soon as you weave the base of the desired diameter (the same size as the container), put a container on it and start the netting around it, pulling the tube-strips against the walls.
  4. While weaving the basket to the end, take out the jar and gently wrap the end of the working tube into the weaving.
  5. Wrap the ends of the pillars inside the weave and cut if necessary. Next, you can spray the paint from the can as in our master class.
