Master class 1. Simple roses made of cloth in country style

  • Wreath of roses made from linen, lace and tulle
  • Spring wreath, decorated with roses made of cloth

.

You will need:

  • The cloth;
  • Scissors;
  • Hot glue gun.

How to make a rose from a fabric:

Step 1.Cut the fabric on the ribbons. To create a single rose, you need one strip 50-70 cm long and about 3-5 cm wide. However, you can choose other sizes if you want to make a rose more or less than in this project.

Step 2.Fold your strip in half and drip onto its tip, - a centimeter track of glue (see. right photo above).

Step 3.Start to turn the strip into a roll several turns.

Step 4.When the roll becomes dense and strong, proceed to the formation of the first "petals fold the ribbon obliquely to the outside as shown in the upper photo to the right and wrap the center of the rose.

Step 5.Continue to form the petals in the same order: fold the ribbon oblique to the outside - wrap the workpiece - fold tape oblique to the outside - wrap the workpiece - etc. For one row of petals, there should be about 3-5 folds tape. From time to time, the layers of fabric need to be fixed with hot glue. As a result, you should get a rose approximately like in these photos.

Experiment with the number of flower bends and the density of folding the fabric to achieve a more careless or, conversely, more accurate look of your flower

Step 6.Once the rose has reached the desired diameter, lower the remaining tail of the tape down and glue it to the base.

Step 7.Next, you can paste to the back of the flower a round base, carved from the same fabric, and preferably from felt.

In this project, the reverse side of the craft was closed with the remaining tail of the fabric

Step 8.Make the desired number of colors in different sizes - small, medium and large.

In this video a master class is presented, how to make roses from denim fabric with their own hands.

Master class 2. Artificial flowers made of satin fabric or organza

Looking at these flowers from satin fabric, it seems that they created a real master of floriculture, but in fact, to make the same realistic peonies / roses can even beginner.

You will need:

  • Candle;
  • Satin, silk, chiffon or organza made from 100% polyester. For the production of pions, the matter of white and pink color (of all shades) is suitable;
  • Scissors;
  • Threads of yellow mulina (for stamens);
  • Needle.

Instruction:

Step 1.Cut out 5 circles from the fabric: 4 circles of diameters of 8-10 cm and 1 circle with a diameter of about 5-8 cm. Cut can be roughly and on the eye, any inaccuracies and irregularities do not matter.

.

Step 2.Light the candle and start processing the first round billet: gently bring its edge close to the flame and start rotating around its axis so that all edges of the circle are melted and twirled. Be careful, keep a glass of water ready, and most importantly - do not bring the workpiece too close to the fire. Keep in mind that if you overdo, then the edges turn black, which is not always desirable. However, sometimes it is the blackened edges that give homemade colors realism or originality. Repeat this process with all the remaining circles.

Step 3.Now use the scissors to make 4 notches on each workpiece as shown in the diagram and the photo below. The main thing here is to leave the center of the circle as a whole.

Step 4.Again we return to work with a candle. This time, we melt the just-obtained slices, pushing the sections apart with both hands. Repeat the procedure with all five petals.

Step 5.Set aside 2 large and 1 smallest blanks aside. We will return to them, but for now let's take care of the 2 remaining blanks, that is, the middle layers of the peony petals. They need to be cut once again according to the following scheme.

.

As a result, the petals will be twice as much.

Step 6.Spray the candle with new places of cuts and set the workpieces aside.

Step 7.It's time to make a peony stamen in the form of a small pompon made from yellow threads of a mulina. For this:

  • Tightly wrap a whole string of mulina around the indexed and middle fingers folded together. You should get about 8 turns.
  • Now tightly tie with the same yellow thread the middle of the resulting skein (between two fingers).
  • Cut two loops, straighten the threads and, if necessary, trim the pompon.

Step 8.We proceed to the "assembly" of the flower. Fold on each other two large blanks, which have only 4 petals, then put on they have two blanks with 8 petals and, finally, fill the bud with the smallest billet with 4 petals.

Step 9.Hooray, the flower is almost ready! It remains only to sew a yellow pompon to its center, simultaneously sewing together all 5 layers of petals.

If desired, glue / sew to the back of the bud the necessary fittings, for example, a pin to make a brooch out of a flower.

.

By changing the shape, color, size of the petals, their number and the principle of gluing, you can make not only peonies and roses, but also poppies (in the photo), Ranunculus, lilies and tulips.

Master class 3. Flower of scarf in 5 minutes

You do not have a thermo-glue, but there is a needle and thread? Or did you suddenly need to make flowers from the cloth as quickly as possible? Then we hasten to acquaint you with the technique of making flowers from frills.

You will need:

.
  • The cloth;
  • Scissors;
  • Needle with thread in tone of fabric;
  • Iron (optional).

Step 1.Cut the fabric into strips about 30 cm long and about 7-8 cm wide. You can choose other sizes to make the flowers smaller or larger.

Step 2.Fold the strip along in half and iron the bend area.

Step 3.Sweep the workpiece with wide stitches at the bottom as shown in the photo below.

Step 4.Collect the workpiece into an accordion, slowly pulling the thread. Do not pull the thread too hard to break it.

Step 5.Close the circle by joining the two ends of the tape and making a few stitches (knot the knot on the back side).

Step 6.Glue / sew beads, rhinestones or buttons in the center of the flower. Done!

This method can be slightly changed if you want to make a more multilayered flower with untreated cuts, for example, from flax or jeans. Cut a wide and long strip of fabric, sweep it in the middle from the beginning to the end, assemble the accordion, roll one edge of the strip into a roll, and then start folding the tape around it. Periodically, the layers of fabric need to be fixed with glue or stitches. Below in the photo-slider there is a master-class in pictures for making a flower from flax (turn the photo to the right).

Pillows with flowers from denim

If you have a long fabric, you can make a large diameter flower, for example, to decorate a cushion cover. To take such a long tape, the easiest way is to use the sewing machine.

To make such large flowers, you will need stripes of fabric length, -3 m

.

These flowers in the pot are made from old cotton T-shirts

Master class 4. Three-dimensional pompon flower

This master class is good in those cases when it is necessary that the flower of the fabric is voluminous and lush.

You will need:

  • Any soft fabric of the desired color;
  • Hot glue gun;
  • Scissors;
  • Felt.

Instruction:

Step 1.Cut from the fabric about 20-30 circles with a diameter of about 4 cm. All these circles will later become petals. Cut the workpiece by eye, the correct form does not matter.

  • To cut several circles at once, just fold the fabric 3-4 times.

Step 2.Now from the felt cut out a circle with a diameter of about 4 cm. This circle will become the base of your flower.

Step 3.Take one of your petal circles, and fold it up so that the bag will turn out like the picture below.

.
  • 1
  • 2

Step 4.Glue your workpiece with the tip to the center of the felt base.

Step 5.Continue to glue your blanks one by one to the felt base until it is completely covered with petals. Voilà! The flower is ready!

If you want, you can make the flower not lush, but flat and complement it with stamens made of beads. To do this, the petals need to be folded as follows: bend the circle in half, then bend the right and left parts of the resulting semicircle to its center to make a quarter. Next, you only need to glue the petals in a circle on the felt base, and then sew / paste the beads to the center.

Gluing with each other two such flowers, you will get a round and very magnificent flower-pom-pom, which you can use not only as an applique, but also suspend and even "plant" on the stems as shown in the photo below.
