Thought you bought a dishwasher and you can use it right away? But what about the installation and connection technology? Many people think about calling the master for work. Do not rush to spend money - we will tell you how to connect the dishwasher to the water supply.
Features of installation and connection
Want a dishwasher to serve at least 10 years? Then start by choosing where to install. This is important because the complexity of the water connection will depend on the washing distance.
Here are the basic requirements:
- If you have not foreseen a place for the equipment, try to place it near the sink. The sewage system should not be farther than 1.5 m. The hoses can be lengthened, but the pump will work in a reinforced mode in order to draw water over such a distance. In addition, excess compounds increase the likelihood of leakage.
- Moistureproof outlet. It should be located at a distance of 45 cm from the floor, because the power cord of the dishwasher is rather short. If you have not organized a separate outlet, then you need to hold it. Safety precautions do not connect the machine through a tee or carrying.
In the first place electrical wiring is organized, the outlet is displayed. Then you need to connect the drain and organize the drain to the sewer. Now you can start plumbing work.
To which water is it better to connect the dishwasher
Does the appliance work without hot water? To find out exactly whether hot water is needed when connecting, look at the instructions for how much water the dishwasher washes. Most models have a connection to a cold drain. Why:
- Poor quality of hot water in the water supply. Too many lime impurities, rust, which are deposited on the filters and equipment parts.
- Periodic outage for prevention.
- For normal operation, the dishwasher water temperature should not exceed 60-65 degrees. In the plumbing, nobody regulates the temperature, and often it exceeds the norm. As a result, the system either mixes the cold and hot stream independently, or the water flows in its pure form, which affects the operation of the machine.
- The high flow temperature makes the ion exchanger unusable for water softening.
Connection method specified in the instruction manual. In the case of supplying hot water, special hoses with reinforced protection are included.
How to connect the DIP with your own hands
Just think about what tools and parts you might need. Prepare everything and then get to work.
Accessories:
- Tee with a thread diameter of inch. It is better to choose a brass or bronze tee with a stopcock. These materials are more durable and reliable than plastic and brass.
- Flow Filter. It will stop large debris at the inlet, protect the inlet hose and mesh filter from clogging.
- Push-off sleeve for tapping into the pipeline.
- Fum-tape.
- Optional hose, adapter.
Tools:
- Flat and Phillips screwdriver.
- Pliers.
- Wrench.

If you have a built-in dishwasher, you can first install it in its place and then arrange the water supply. There are two connection options:
- Through the mixer.
- Method of insertion into the tube.
One end of the hose is mounted on the dishwasher outlet, the nut is tightened. The other end joins the water outlet under the sink. Consider both options.
Via mixer:
- Shut off the inlet valve.
- Unscrew the mixer hose from the pipe.
- In its place, install the tee with a crane.
- Connect a mixer hose to one outlet and a flow filter and a PMM hose to the other.
- Rewind threaded connections with a fum-tape. Seal the threads 10-15 times.

If the pipe passes near the equipment, it makes no sense to pull the hose to the sink. You can independently embed into the pipe.
- Close the inlet hose.
- The grinder cuts off part of the pipe and install the squeeze sleeve.
- Screw the ball valve onto the coupling.
- Screw the end of the dishwasher hose to the tap outlet. For additional devices it is better to install a tee.
