Multi-tiered Onions can be grown in both the northern and southern regions. The plant is unpretentious and gives high yields. There are also no special requirements for the soil, but if the soil is not fertile, then it is necessary to apply organic fertilizers before planting. For planting it is better to choose an open sunny area, then the plant will bear fruit well for 4-5 years.

Seeds do not produce such onions, therefore reproduction occurs in a vegetative way.

Air bulbs from the second or third tier are used for planting. It can also be propagated by dividing the mother bush. Bulbs for planting material collected at the end of summer, so they have time to put down roots to the cold and to strengthen enough in the ground. It is necessary to use only not sprouted heads. In spring, the bow is convenient to propagate by dividing the bushes.

Before planting, the soil should be well loosened, organic fertilizers( cow dung, bird droppings) should be applied. Heads are recessed into the ground by about 4 cm, at a distance of 6-8 cm from each other. Between the rows should be at least 25 cm. This scheme is suitable for large or underground bulbs. If the planting material is shallow, the distance between the heads should be reduced to 5 cm.

When growing onions in apartment conditions or greenhouse on greens, the heads are planted in boxes with nutrient soil tightly behind each other and watered abundantly. Fresh greens can be harvested after 20 days.
