Domestic sandy loams or loams are optimal for tui. More dense soils require the introduction of sand and peat, otherwise the squeezed root system cannot develop, which will adversely affect the aerial part of the plant.

Planting and care for thuja Golden Glob

Planting conifers is carried out in spring or early autumn, until the earth has cooled. Planting pits are prepared in advance, focusing on the size of the root system of seedlings. Usually nurseries offer young 2–4 year old thujas in containers. A pit with a depth and a diameter of about 60–80 cm is sufficient for them. The bottom is lined with drainage, and the ground for backfilling, if necessary, is mixed with sand, peat and garden soil, and is also fertilized with fertilizers.

For active start and good growth, Golden Globe thuja use complex fertilizers for coniferous crops, which are applied at a rate of 50–60 grams per plant.

Do not use organics, especially fresh manure or bird droppings as shrubs. Aggressive nitrogen can burn roots, attract pests to damaged tissues, and cause bacterial or fungal rot.


Shrub in the well is placed so that its roots are not tangled, and the root neck is not below the level of the soil. Care for the Golden Globe after landing begins immediately. The plant is abundantly watered, and the near-stem circle is densely mulched with peat or any suitable material that can delay the evaporation of soil moisture.
