This recipe does not imply soaking or rubbing the raw materials in soda. The time for preparation will also take very little, about 30 minutes. For candied fruits you will need:

  • watermelon peel( peel) - about 750 grams;
  • sugar - 2.5 cups( 150 g);
  • water - 1 liter.

Cooking steps:

  1. Free the crusts from the dense green skin using a knife. Be sure to weigh the resulting raw materials.
  2. Cut into cubes peel.
  3. Take any pot, pour in water and add sugar.
  4. Boil the water until the sugar is dissolved and the syrup becomes transparent.
  5. Add cortical slicing in syrup and boil for 15 minutes over low heat.
  6. Turn off the heat, cover with a lid and leave to infuse for 12 hours. Then boil again 15 minutes and wait 12 hours again. And once again do the same procedure.
  7. Take a colander or strainer and toss cold ingredients into it. The crusts will remain in the colander, and the sweet mass will drain. Preferably, for about 30 minutes, hold them in a colander to completely release from the liquid.
  8. Prepare a baking sheet on which to lay aluminum foil. Roll the future candied fruits in sugar to avoid sticking together and position them loosely on the baking sheet. Remove all this construction in a dry, non-clogged place for 2 days.

This recipe provides a clear proportion of ingredients. Namely: 3 parts of the peel, 2.5 parts of sugar, diluted in 4 parts of water. For example: after weighing you got 300 grams of crusts, it means that you should take 250 grams of sugar and boil it in 0.4 liters of water.

For candied fruits you will need:

  • watermelon - 4 kg( 1 kg of crusts should come out);
  • sugar - 1 kg;
  • lemon - 1 pc.

Cooking steps:

  1. Cut the watermelon and remove the peel from it. Remove the hard green layer from the resulting peel.
  2. Cut into cubes or straws.
  3. Boil water with the juice of half a lemon and scald 4 times the watermelon rind. Send to a colander and cool with water.
  4. Cook a syrup of half a liter of water and sugar. Pour cooled cubes into it and cook for 15 minutes. Turn off the heat and set aside for 10 hours. Then cook for 15 minutes again and wait 10 hours again.
  5. For the third time, boil in a couple of large spoons of lemon juice and boil.
  6. Tilt the candied fruit into a colander to stack the entire syrup.
  7. Put on a baking sheet and send to the oven to dry for 10 minutes at 40 degrees temperature. Get and set aside for 3 days. You can drag sugar on top or powdered sugar.

Do not lose sight of the best assistant in the kitchen - the multi-cooker. Watermelon candied fruits, the recipe of which provides for cooking them in a slow cooker, turn out to be very tasty.

For candied fruits you will need:

  • watermelon peel - 1 kg;
  • sugar - 1 kg;
  • water - 200 grams;
  • lemon, orange, vanillin - to taste and desire.

Cooking steps:

  1. Peel green shells from crusts.
  2. Cut them into curly shape and blanch 5 minutes.
  3. Fill the multicooker bowl with cutting, pour in water and sugar, in the specified amount. There are two options for which candied are prepared. First: turn on baking mode, second: plov mode. Time should be chosen according to the instructions for the multicooker.
  4. After the first tea leaves, add 200 grams of sugar and squeeze the juice of lemon, orange. If there is no citrus, use citric acid to taste. Again, enable the same mode on the control panel. Do not forget to pour in vanillin.
  5. Upon completion of the cooking process, remove the candied fruit from the watermelon crusts at home and place them in a colander.
  6. After the syrup has drained, place curly straws on the parchment paper and let them dry for 3 days.

When slicing crusts, it is better to give a future shape to a larger one, otherwise during processing, a crust sauce may be obtained.
