Seed preparation

Properly grown seedlings are the key to a good harvest. The most successful time for sowing seeds is end of February - beginning of March .

Seeds before planting need to soak for disinfection for 2 hours in a strong solution of manganese. This procedure is performed in order to increase disease resistance by seedlings. After disinfection, the seeds are washed with warm water. Seeds, ready for planting, are planted in plastic containers or wooden boxes.

Soil preparation and sowing seeds

Soil for planting seedlings can be prepared by mixing in equal proportions the garden soil, peat, and mullein. On a bucket of finished soil should be added:

  • ash - 150 grams;
  • river sand - 1 kg;
  • superphosphate - 35 grams.

Fill disinfected seedling containers with this mixture. Seeds are sown in grooves to a depth of 1.5-2 centimeters .The distance between the seeds in a row of at least 2 centimeters. Grooves sprinkled with earth and watered with warm water. Cover with polyethylene and leave in a room with a temperature of +25 degrees .

Before the appearance of the first shoots it is recommended to water it daily.

variety After sprouting, polyethylene is removed, the temperature in the room is reduced to +22 degrees .After that, water the seedlings should be no more than once every 5 days. Water should be warm.

With the appearance of two sheets, it should be seated in separate pots with a capacity of 1 liter. The first feeding can be made 14 days after transplantation. For these purposes ash , diluted in the following proportions is best:

  • ash - 1 cup;
  • water - 10 liters.

Infuse this solution for 5-6 hours and water the seedlings.

Hardening seedlings

One of the conditions for obtaining strong seedlings is its hardening. This procedure is carried out 14 days before planting seedlings at a permanent place of growth. Pots for 2 hours carried out on the street. If seedlings are grown on a windowsill, then a window should be opened in the room.

Planted in greenhouses or on the beds at the age of 55 days, when the seedlings in height reach 11-12 centimeters.
Transplanting seedlings takes place 55 days after sowing seeds.

. Planting seedlings in the greenhouse

. If you planted seedlings in the greenhouse, you should follow these recommendations:

  1. To plant seedlings in the greenhouse should be in the evening, or on a non-sunny day .
  2. The soil should be disinfected before planting by adding manganese to the water for irrigation.
  3. Remove yellow leaves from seedlings.
  4. Warm up the soil to 14-15 degrees before transplanting. In warm soil, seedlings will not take root.
  5. Do not plant in the ground, which grew pepper, cabbage, eggplant.
  6. Do not bury seedlings when transplanting so that they do not take out new roots.
  7. Do not add chicken manure or urea to the soil before planting seedlings.
  8. Planting seedlings should be 55–60 centimeters apart from each other. .
  9. As the variety is tall, after 7 days it is necessary to perform a seedling garter to the support.
  10. It is necessary to form a bush in two stems and remove new processes. A large number of shoots will reduce the yield.

If the seedlings are planted in the beds, the planting should be carried out 7 days later in the greenhouse.

Care after transplantation

The main care activities are:

  • weeding;
  • watering;
  • loosening;
  • garter.
The garter of the bushes is obligatory for the Intuition variety.

. It is not necessary to water the seedlings immediately after transplantation so that the seedlings are well rooted. The first watering is recommended to make after 10 days .Watering seedlings requires warm water ( 20-25 degrees) to avoid various diseases. Before the flowering period, this variety should be watered with once every five days .

The rate of watering 1.5 liters per bush. During the flowering period, water consumption per bush is from 4 to 5 liters.

The weeding and loosening procedure is performed by once every 14 days of .This should be done very carefully so as not to damage the root system of the seedlings.

The formation of a bush is performed in order to remove the side shoots so that the bush gives more strength to the fruits. Pruning should be carried out once every 14 days .In late summer, the top of the bush is cut off, so that it no longer grows up. Pruning the bushes growing in the greenhouse, should be after the seventh brush, and growing on the garden, after the fifth.

Since Intuition is a tall variety, the garter is an indispensable condition of care. It can be carried out within two weeks after transplantation. The height of the support must be at least three meters. Tie up the bushes to be careful not to damage the stem. For this purpose it is best to use a nylon thread.
