It is not surprising that this material is chosen for the device of partitions in houses.

The tongue-and-groove plate is a monolithic block of a rectangular shape. A groove is located on both sides of the rectangle, and ridges on the other, so it is called a tongue-and-groove. This design allows you to dock the blocks together evenly and without gaps.
Builders to create interior partitions use tongue-and-groove panels, which are well suited for residential premises. The material from which the plates are made is not afraid of fire. 1. Full-bodied products have a solid monolithic structure, they are durable, the partition cannot be broken even if you kick it. They are made by 667 x 500 x 80 mm, the weight of the block is 32 kg.
2. Hollow are characterized in that they have uniform longitudinal holes. This feature makes it easier, thereby reducing the load on the supporting structure. I make plates of such dimensions as full-bodied ones, only the block weighs 24 kg.

Weight and durability are the two most important differences between tongue-and-groove plates. For the installation of heavy objects: cabinets, televisions, it is better to make a wall of solid ones, since it is more difficult to put a mount in a hollow one. In other cases, choose a lightweight panel.

For the construction of partitions in private houses, solid blocks are used, since harmful insects and rodents can be found in hollow products.

Price, weight of material, speed of work, ease of installation make tongue-and-groove plates for the construction of jumpers in the house out of competition. They can be installed independently without hiring builders.
