The situation is familiar to many. The magnets with which the old speakers are equipped, powerful, are often used to hold instruments. They are hung for this on the wall, which allows you to arrange the table in the workshop, to have everything you need on hand.

There are opinions that the magnet will detach from the base almost by itself, if it is heated. It is not advised to knock it out, as often this ends with the destruction of the magnet. Further, how to safely remove a magnet from a speaker of a 35-cm diameter, which saw the light in the distant 1980.
The speaker is placed on the table with a narrowed conical part with a magnet up. Remove the aluminum cover, for which the mounting bolts are first unscrewed. A metal plate opens. Turn on the burner and begin to warm the upper surface of the latter.

Do not get carried away - with strong and prolonged heating, the magnet can lose its magnetic properties. Warm the upper surface of the plate with circular motions of the burner. When the plate warms up well, they begin to beat it off, using a hammer and a chisel.

They work neatly - the surface is hot, you can get burned inadvertently. After a few strokes, check whether the plate is moving away. If so, then the room starts to smell like glue.
To finish the process, they turn the dynamite over and hit the copper disc, which protrudes from the middle part, several times with a hammer. As a result, the upper plate with the magnet out of the place where they were installed. The plate itself is easily detached and remains intact. In the future, it can be used for some purposes.

The heating method turned out to be working. The heating temperature of the top plate covering the magnet is approximately + 70 ° C - when you touch it, you feel that your hand is burning. With such heat, the glue melts, becomes fluid and “releases” the metal plate.

The method is the only one that allows you to remove the magnetic plate from the speaker without damaging it. With any other, the magnet often cracks or becomes damaged, partially remains on the metal plate.
