One of the most common types of finishing work is plastering walls. For this, plaster is usually used. By stucco is meant a frozen ball of concrete or other mixture, which is applied to the walls in a raw state, in a plastic form. Application of the mixture takes place in several stages, usually up to four times, on a previously prepared surface.
The walls are plastered with cement mortar, slaked lime is added to the walls to insulate the walls, with using iron beacons, which make it possible to achieve a flat surface in the final result. This is precisely the main purpose of the plaster - to perfectly align the walls with an accuracy of several millimeters.
Before the plaster begins, the surface is prepared, the old paint is removed, the wallpaper is peeled off. After preparation, they begin to mark the walls, the surface is divided into even intervals from a meter to two meters and vertical lines are marked with the help of a beating (colored thread). After marking, plaster beacons are trimmed in height, using scissors. After which, on the angular sides of the wall, two guides are vertically set using the level, or you can use a plumb line, which is usually made in the form of a thread with a hang on its end cargo. The guides are attached to the wall with a solution that is applied between the wall and the lighthouse, in several places, at an equal interval. After that, between the extreme guiding beacons, a kapron cord is pulled diagonally and the remaining beacons are installed so that the protrusion of the beacon comes in contact with the stretched thread. It is also necessary to simultaneously monitor the verticality of each beacon in terms of level. After installing all the guiding beacons, you must wait until the solution under their base is completely frozen.
As soon as the mortar under the lighthouses dries up, the auxiliary diagonal threads are removed, and they cross directly to the plaster of the walls. The work is carried out in sections, a layer of a solution is applied to the gap between the rails with a spatula or a plaster bucket, and the rule is made of the required size.
At the end of one gap, they switch to the second, and so on until the end of the entire surface. After that, the wall is either rubbed with a special board, or covered with decorative material.
Another important point, if the wall is brick, a reinforced mesh is applied in front of the plaster, which is mounted according to the template using fasteners (quick installation). And if the applied layer is too large, then the mixture is applied in layers, allowing the previous solution layer to dry slightly.
