How to make beautiful flowers from corrugated paper

Flowers made of corrugated paper are used to decorate various gifts, and from them you can make a wonderful decor for your interior or even a beautiful photo zone. If you want your compositions to look like real, you should correctly and responsibly approach the choice of material.

What is required for work

There are several types of paper on sale, they differ in density from each other, and it affects how convenient it is to use the material. For creativity, decorating gifts and creating simple applications, paper with a density of 30-50 g is suitable, it has small folds. This kind of flower making is not suitable, it quickly soaks from the glue used, tears and practically does not stretch.

For flowers and suites, a material with deep folds is ideal, which ensures good stretching, the density is up to 200 g. In the color palette there is not only plain paper, but it can also have numerous effects - for example, with a rainbow or metallized color.

In addition to paper for work, you will also need thick PVA glue, wire, including floristic, a stationery knife, scissors, a needle, threads, a heat gun, and a tape tape. For stems, stock up on various wooden skewers and chopsticks. In all other respects, the decor used will be limited only by your personal imagination.

How to choose a technique

There are many different techniques for creating flowers from corrugated paper, it is impossible to say exactly which ones are suitable for beginners and which are already for experienced florist designers.

To choose "your" technique, it is enough to start creating, the detailed steps can be studied at numerous master classes, most importantly, remember that it is rare when someone gets something the first time.

Screw assembly

This technique is perfect for creating flowers such as hyacinth, lilac, etc. Follows first cut a strip of paper, 1.5 cm from the edge, make cuts every few millimeters. Next, each resulting strip is twisted into a curl. The edge of the strip is pushed onto the glue starting from the top, and then it is wound with an offset downward. At the end, you should decorate the stem and add the appropriate leaves. This technique is one of the simplest, but nonetheless, with its help you can create your first flowers.
