Non-slip ceramic granite differs from ordinary granite in the deep relief, which is needed to increase the friction force of the legs (with or without shoes) on the floor. It’s hard to slip on such a raised surface.

Specialized stamps make granite slabs embossed. At the same time, granite does not lose its strength, wear resistance, frost resistance, etc. But such plates have several disadvantages:

• the material is chemically inert (does not enter into chemical reactions with any substances);
• not subject to fading;
• dielectric (i.e. e. does not conduct current);
• huge assortment with different shapes, colors and sizes.

How to choose

When walking on the floor, gliding can occur not only due to its smooth surface, but also due to the presence of water, fat and other liquid substances on the floor. They reduce friction and increase the chance of slipping.

There are several types of anti-slip porcelain stoneware: matte, rough and embossed. It is necessary to choose a material with a minimum sliding angle, which most of all reduces the probability of falling.

For the final choice, you need to carefully look at all the characteristics of the material listed above, and choose in accordance with its purpose. The most important parameters that you need to pay attention to when buying are strength, durability and resistance to extreme high and low temperatures (it is achieved by adding special additives to porcelain stoneware that prevent its destruction in frost and heat). In addition to this, you need to choose the tile that suits the shape and color.
