10 watt LED downlight

LED lights have a much lower power consumption compared to conventional lamps. But at the same time, their price is much higher than incandescent lamps. Do not rush and go to the store for the LED lamp, because you can do it yourself.

You will need a 10 W LED with a voltage of 9-12 volts, a driver, a radiator, thermal grease, a clothespin, a plastic flower pot, a power cord, several bolts and plastic clips.

Process of creation

The LED can heat the radiator located next to forty degrees Celsius, so you need to create good ventilation. This can be done by making holes at the bottom of the pots. The radiator from the old computer video card is quite suitable for this lamp.

Next, you need to solder the LED and driver. It is important not to confuse the polarities. After that, the network cable is soldered to the structure. All solder points are isolated. Next, the LED is screwed to the radiator and pre-lubricated with thermal grease.

Several functional holes need to be made on the pallet of the planter: one more in the center for the source light, some optional for ventilation and air circulation, and two more for attaching the radiator to to the pallet.

The design of the radiator and LED is attached to the pan of the pot. Next, both parts of the lamp are assembled. For this, the long screws that secure the radiator will be used. With the help of clamps, the driver is fixed, and a network cable is attached with a glue gun.

In the end, fixtures in the form of clothespins are made for the lamp. To do this, on one of the tails a hole is made for the screw and in the lamp housing. Two parts are fastened with a screw and a nut. The LED lamp is ready and can be placed on any flat surface.
